Base Class: Bard
As a bard who studies in resonant frequencies, you have the unique ability to tap into a creature's innate vibration at the very core of their being. You can use this ability to either enhance your allies or tear apart your enemies. You may even be able to shift yourself and others through the very planes of existence...
Unique Spellcasting Focus
As master of tone, pitch, and the natural frequencies of creatures, you can use a tuning fork, pitch pipe, or metronome as a spellcasting focus.
Dissonant Resonance
At 3rd level, you learn to harness the frequencies of a creature against themselves, ripping them apart at their very core essence.
When you hit a creature with a spell attack, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to deal an extra 2d6 force damage to that target. You can do so only once per round on your turn.
The force damage increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 3d6 at 5th level, 5d6 at 10th level, and 8d6 at 15th level.
Harmonious Resonance
At 3rd level, you learn to tap into the resonant frequencies of creatures, including those that are your allies. When you give a creature a Bardic Inspiration die, you can choose one of the following effects to give it as well:
- Their movement speed is increased by 10 feet until the end of their next turn.
- They receive temporary hit points equal to the maximum number of the inspiration die.
- They gain advantage on Dexterity saving throws until the end of their next turn.
Master of Reverberation
Starting at 6th level, you have mastered the understanding of the natural vibration of creatures and effects. Once per short rest, you may use your reaction to give advantage or disadvantage to an attack roll or saving throw. You may also expend a Bardic Inspiration die to further enhance this feature (this must be done before the result of the roll).
Chords of the Planes
Starting at 14th level, you have learned to tap into the very vibration and frequencies of the planes of existence themselves. You learn the spell Plane Shift and it does not count as one of your spells known.
Additionally, you may cast Plane Shift without the material component with the destination being whichever plane you desire. Once you use this feature, you may not use it again for one week.
