Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Scion are born different from others. Within them lies an infernal bloodline, connecting them to dark powers and darker ambitions. Those that follow the Way of the Scion see their training as a method to find balance, and inner peace with the dark nature that pervades them. Though the path to it is long and arduous, many have found a way to balance the forces that rage within them. While just as many have failed, and lost themselves in their darker nature.
Unyielding Focus
While in the heat of battle, a monk pursuing the Way of the Scion is granted a supernatural level of focus. The monk expends a ki point to enter a rage state not dissimilar to a barbarian's, gaining resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing attacks. As well as advantage to Dexterity checks and saving throws.
Fist of the Nine Hells
As the Monk's mastery grows, they begin to call upon the infernal power within themselves to strike their foes. For each ki point expended, a monk may add an additional D6 of fire damage to their unarmed strike.
Infernal Recall
The Blood within the Monk rages and does not desire rest. In exchange for a sacrifice of the Monk's own blood, Their ki points will be replenished equal to the wisdom modifier (Minimum of 1)
Harmony of the Soul
Having sought balance with their darker halves, the monk have achieved inner peace. With the Harmony of their Soul fostered, the Monk gains the ability to enter an Altered state of Unyielding Focus. Expending 3 ki points, the Monk Enters a state of immovable Zen in addition to their Unyielding Focus. All attacks made against the monk are with disadvantage, The Monk's unarmed strikes gain an additional 1D6 Radiant damage, and the Monk can cast Scorching Ray. This state require an additional ki point per turn it is active, and can be ended as a bonus action.
Wrath of the Scion
Having sought and failed to balance their darker halves, the monk has lost their way. With this loss, comes the Wrath of the Scion. the Monk gains the ability to enter an Altered state of Unyielding Focus. Expending 3 ki points, the Monk's form voluntarily shifts into one resembling their scion. In addition to the standard effects of Unyielding Focus, Their size increases to large, Their armor class increase by +5, and all foes within five feet take 1D6 fire Damage for each turn they are within the radius.
