Base Class: Ranger

The Culling Reaper is at home in the darkest places: deep under the earth, in gloomy alleyways, in primeval forests, and wherever else the light dims. Most folk enter such places with trepidation, but Culling Reapers ventures boldly into the darkness, seeking to ambush threats before they can reach the broader world. Culling Reaper are often found in the Underdark, but they will go any place where evil lurks in the shadows.

Dread Ambusher

At 3rd level, you master the art of the ambush. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier. Increase your walking speed by 5 feet.

At the start of your first turn of each combat. If you take the Attack action on that turn, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action. If that attack hits, the target takes an extra 1d8 damage of the weapon's damage type. Does not proc on extra attacks.

Assassinate

Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.

Touch Of Death

Starting at 3rd level, the Culling Reaper can use Touch of Death to destroy another creature’s life force by touch.

When the ranger hits a creature with a melee attack, the ranger can use Touch of Death to deal extra necrotic damage to the target. The damage equals 5 + twice his or her ranger level.

Culling

At 7th level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with necrotic energy. On each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal additional 1d8 necrotic damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Extra Attack

Beginning at 11th level, you can attack three times, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Death Strike

Starting at 15th level, you become a master of instant death. When you attack and hit a creature that is surprised, it must make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your Dexterity modifier + your proficiency bonus). On a failed save, double the damage of your attack against the creature.
