Monk
Base Class: Monk

In the Way of the Eye of the Storm, you learn to use your opponents strengths against them, redirecting their attacks toward themselves and sometimes persuading their opinions to align with your own. Much like the Way of the Open Hand, Monks who follow the Way of the Eye of the Storm are calm staunch followers of peace and inner strength. Though the storm surrounds us always, we must hold firm to the anchor in our hearts that keeps us from blowing away.

Counter Strike

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your enemy’s ki against them on their turn. As a reaction you can deflect any attack that hits you, including melee attacks. You must have a free hand to use this ability. When you do, the damage is reduced by 1d10 + your Dexterity Modifier + your monk level.

If the damage is reduced to 0 on a melee attack the opponent is disarmed and you may counter the attack with an unarmed strike.

Starting at level 6, you may spend 1 Ki point to follow your counter attack with a flurry of blows.

Starting at level 11, you may spend 1 Ki point to steal your opponents disarmed weapon and counter attack with it. You are proficient in the weapon until you drop the weapon at the start of your next turn.

Starting at level 17, at the start of your turn if you have a stolen weapon you may spend 1 Ki point to remain proficient in the stolen weapon. When you do so, the weapon remains in your grasp until the start of your next turn.

Multiple affects can be stacked. The character must spend an additional 1 Ki point for each affect used.

Oneness of Mind

At 6th level, you learn to influence other's minds, through trust and gentle persuasion. You learn the Friends cantrip. You also learn the Charm Person spell and are able to cast it 3 times per long rest. Your Spell DC is 15 + your wisdom modifier + your monk level

Tranquility

Beginning at 11th level, you can enter a special meditation that surrounds you with an aura of peace. At the end of a long rest, you gain the effect of a sanctuary spell that lasts until the start of your next long rest (the spell can end early as normal). The saving throw DC for the spell equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Dancing Storm

At 17th level, you become a billowing storm of speed and fury. After hitting an enemy with fury of blows you can chain another fury of blows against another target, and again as long as your movement allows. You cannot provoke attacks of opportunity while using this ability. You can use this ability once per long rest. If you attack 5 or more creatures with this ability you are [Tooltip Not Found] and gain one point of exhaustion for every 5 creatures attacked with this ability.
