Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For many barbarians, their fury can be described as a burning passion, a fiery hatred if you may. Barbarians that walk the Path of the Searing Blaze take that phrase literally, harnessing their fury and summoning powerful flames to wreak havoc among the battlefield.

Not every barbarian can tread this path. Due to the strange circumstances of its creation, only those with a deep connection to the elemental plane of fire, be it through a fire giant generations back in the family tree, or a curse from an ifreeti, are able to call upon this bond to work their magic. However,  discipline is a necessity when dealing with flame, as always. Fire is chaos, but concentrated, controlled, and given life. It breathes, it spreads, and most importantly, it feeds. With the proper training, a barbarian can direct the flame to feed on their enemies, rather than themselves, and turn the tide of battle in their favor.

Hellflame Strike

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can imbue a melee attack with hellish flames. If you do so,  you can use a bonus action to deal 1d8 additional fire damage on any melee attack you make in this turn. You can do this six times per short or long rest.

Molten Core

Beginning at 6th level, you gain resistance to cold damage and immunity to fire damage while raging.

Flaming Spirit

Beginning at 10th level, you can use an action to call upon the smoldering denizens of the Plane of Fire, and summon a Fire Elemental to fight for you. The elemental disappears after 15 rounds, or until dismissed.

The elemental is friendly to you and your companions for the duration. Roll Initiative for the elemental, which has its own turns. It obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you). If you don't issue any commands to the elemental, it defends itself from Hostile creatures but otherwise takes no Actions.

You can use this feature once per long rest.

Upon reaching level 16, you gain the ability to instead summon a Fire Elemental Myrmidon, although you may still summon a Fire Elemental if desired.

Burning Aura

Starting at 14th level, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to engulf them in burning flames. Make a melee attack against the creature, dealing 1d12 fire damage on a successful hit.
