Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A half-orc charges at his opponent, greataxe at the ready, surrounded by a swirling black mist. Face reddened from exertion, he lets out a primal roar before burying his axe in the shoulder of his opponent.

Awoken by the snap of a branch outside camp, a dwarf spots a small band of gnomes rummaging through his band’s supplies. Body shaking from the effort of a building anger, he manifests a beam of darkness, obliterating the petty thieves.

The element of Darkness is fueled by the most primal and powerful negative emotion, rage. As a Barbarian, you will harness this emotion and, consequently, Darkness, to enhance your strength and abilities in combat.

Infernal Rage

Starting at 3rd level, your rage manifests itself as dark energy. When you first enter your rage, you can choose to deal an extra 1d4 necrotic damage and 1d4 force damage on your damage rolls while you rage. If you do so, all attack rolls that target you during your rage gain advantage. When your rage ends, you suffer one level of exhaustion.

At the 6th level, the extra damage increases to 1d6 necrotic damage and 1d6 force damage.

At the 10th level, the extra damage increases to 1d8 necrotic damage and 1d8 force damage.

At the 14th level, the extra damage increases to 1d10 necrotic damage and 1d10 force damage.

Energy Propulsion

Beginning at 6th level, you gain the ability to propel yourself with the dark energy you create. While you rage, your movement speed is increased by half of your movement speed (rounded up), your jump distance is doubled, and you don't have to spend any movement speed to rise from being prone. Additionally, while you rage, if you make an attack after moving 20 ft in a straight line, that attack deals an extra 1d8 force damage.

Malicious Projection

Beginning at 10th level, you can create projectiles using the dark energy produced while raging. You may choose to fire a single projectile or condense all of your available energy into a beam.

If you fire a single projectile, make an attack roll using your strength as your modifier. It deals 1d6 necrotic damage and 1d6 force damage on a hit. At the 14th level, the damage increases to 1d8 necrotic and 1d8 force.

If you fire a beam, each creature and object within a 5 ft wide and 60 ft long line makes a DEX saving throw (DC{{savedc:str}}. On a failure, they dake 6d6 necrotic damage and 6d6 force damage, and half as much damage on a success. Your rage ends when you use this attack. At the 14th level, the damage increases to 6d8 necrotic and 6d8 force.

Unyielding Rage

Starting at the 14th level, the energy coursing through you during your rage grants you a state of enhanced vitality. While you rage, the effects of exhaustion are suspended, but you retain your level of exhaustion.
