Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

You're just as adept on the front lines as you are from the back, slinging spells and dealing blows to foes. You're magic can come from a variety of places, from a cosmic alignment or an entanglement in the weave, but most Battle Mages find themselves in experimental training camps that militarize their abilities. Many underground resistance forces practice battle sorcery to maximize the resistance of their militia, using a deadly combination of arcane prowess and martial aptitude.

Sorcerous Assault

At 1st level, your attacks are coated in a potent magical force. When you make a melee attack against a hostile creature, you gain the following benefits:

  • You may use your Charisma score in place of Strength or Dexterity when making melee weapon attacks.
  • You can spend a sorcery point to change the damage type of your weapon attacks to one of the following: fire, cold, lightning, necrotic, radiant, poison, or acid.

Battle Training

At 1st level, you’re a lethal martial combatant with magical abilities. You are proficient with melee martial weapons that lack the heavy property and shields. Additionally, while you are not wearing armor,  your armor class equals 12 + your Constitution modifier and you gain an additional 1hp for every level in this class.

Enhanced Strikes

Beginning at 6th level, you can attack twice instead of once whenever you take the Attack action on your turn, and your attacks are considered magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances.

Additionally, once per turn when you make a weapon attack, you can expend a spell slot to deal an additional 1d8 damage of the weapons type. This type changes if you choose to make the damage type change. You may add another d8 for every two spell levels expended.

Spell Conversion

At 14th level, you’ve learned how to draw vitality from the weave around you. Each time you hit a foe with a weapon attack, you regain health equal to half your Charisma modifier rounded up.

Additionally, you can now convert a spell slot into 5 hit points as an action. You gain an additional 5 hit points for each level of spell expended above first.

Spell Striker

By manipulating the magic coursing through you, you can ensure a deadly blow. At 18th level, when you use the Attack action, you may cast a spell of 2nd level or lower as a bonus action.
