Base Class: Monk
The pit fighter knelt down in pain, then clenched his fist. As he did, this gold energy gathered around him, like sand in the wind. His eyes glowed a golden light and his face, normally stoic, had a gritted smile upon it. He launched himself forward fast enough to leave a cloud of the sand from the floor behind him. He let out a flurry attacks with his fists on his opponent, faster then the eye could see. The other fighter fell, he stood tall and proud as the energy around him faded

What is the Gold Rush?
When legendary heroes of the people die, people say they turn into a gold dust and fade away. The Gold Rush is that dust. An eternal force made up of the conscience of past heroes. This force drifts through the world, until it finds a vessel, a person of great willpower, with the soul of a hero. It will then grant that person the power to protect the weak and become a beacon of hope for those who need it.

Roleplaying a Way of The Gold Rush Monk
Way of the Gold Rush monks do not need to be spiritualistic, and you shouldn't restrict your self to that when making one. You could play as a beggar who was chosen and doesn't know why. Maybe a JoJos style character would fit well. What you do is up to you, just remember to work with your DM to make a character that fits with the setting and game, and make sure it's a character you enjoy playing.

Origin: Why were you chosen.
The Gold Rush chooses people who are destined to be heroes as its vessek. Why the Gold Rush choose you as it's current vessel may be a mystery. If you cannot think of a reason, here is a table you can roll on.
| d6 | Origin |
|---|---|
| 1 | At the worst point in my life, I still had hope for the future and inspired the same thoughts in others |
| 2 |
During a near-death experience in battle, when all had failed, I got up and kept fighting, saving other people's lives in the progress. |
| 3 |
I've always been known as a weakling to the people in my village, yet I never gave up hope of becoming strong enough to protect others. |
| 4 |
Though I used to disregard others, I saw the error in my ways and showed a great desire to be better to the people around me. |
| 5 |
My family has been known for their heroic acts throughout the ages, being chosen as the vessel for millennia, now it is my turn to live up to that. |
| 6 |
I saw the strife overs went through when I had it all and threw it all away to help them. |
