Path of the Athlete

While some barbarians prefer to fight with traditional weapons, there exists some factions of barbaric tribes that prefer to use ordinary objects as their weapons. A barbarian of the Path of Athletes uses their superior strength and mobility to run around the battlefield to quickly find and toss any object that they might deem as useful.

Athletic Aim

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you gain the ability to throw weapons efficiently. You receive the following bonuses:

• When you throw a weapon, you can use your strength modifier and proficiency bonus for that weapon.
• You also gain proficiency with thrown improvised weapons.
• You may now use rage's damage bonus and the advantage from Reckless Attack with thrown weapons
• While raging, the range of your thrown weapon attacks increases by 30 feet and your thrown weapon attacks ignore half cover and three-quarters cover.

Heroic Stride

Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be knocked prone while raging. Additionally, you gain a bonus movement speed of 10 feet and a bonus jump distance of 5 feet while you are raging.

Titanic Throw

Beginning at 10th level, you gain the ability to knock back enemies. As an action, you can make a ranged weapon attack using a thrown object against a target that you can see. The target must succeed on a STR saving throw or be pushed back 20 feet in a straight line.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Mighty Ricochet

Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to ricochet your thrown weapons. As an action, you can ricochet a thrown weapon attack to 1d4 creatures of your choice that are within a 20 feet cube of the original target. For each hit target, make a ranged attack roll against them. Additionally, the target must succeed on a DEX saving throw be knocked prone.

You can use this feature twice and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
