Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

The void is a wild and oft unpredictable force, writhing away at the bottom of the world. The only certainty about the void is that it will incessantly oppose the light. While its motives are unknown its force is unmistakable. The void will fight relentlessly, never truly able to be brought down, wearing away at their enemies until they tire or the void has learned all it needs to claim victory. A war of attrition made manifest.

The void has a certain potential when unified under one will, when not unified it will lash out indiscriminately and be oppressed by the light. When unified, however, it can seek out and challenge those that oppress it.

The void is unknown or outright detested by various other religious orders, the mystery surrounding it making it claimed as a wild card at best and a direct, anarchistic threat at worst. A crafty sorcerer of the void could use this established reputation to their advantage in terrifying locals and even higher ranking religious appointees.

"Gods fear the unification of the void, for when unrepentant chaos is directed there is no force capable of stopping it."

Void born

At 1st level you wear your birth rite upon yourself. The void manifests as shining, white eyes and an inky black coloration to your skin. At will you may secrete void around yourself, creating difficult terrain for any creatures that do not consist of the void within a 10ft. radius.

Lashing at the light

From 1st level onward your void body will lash out wildly when threatened or forced into powerful enough light. Upon taking damage you can use a reaction to make a void tendril attack against the target, dealing 1d12+your charisma modifier in necrotic damage. Your void tendrils can reach up to ten feet.

No Mind to Think

At 6th level your connection to the void has strengthened, allowing you to feel the vast, unguided emptiness in the endless dark. You gain advantage on wisdom and intelligence saving throws and, if successful, can make a void tendril attack against the target if they are in sight. Your void tendril attack also increases to twenty feet.

No Will to Break

At 14th level the void has filled your senses further and you can see how the cruel pettiness of the light has spurned and destroyed all in its path. You become immune to the charmed and stunned statuses. The radius of your secreted void increases to a 30 foot diameter around yourself and any creature that enters into this space or starts it's turn within it must make a dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take a void tendril attack. Your void tendril attack now increases to 2d12+your charisma modifier.

No Voice to Cry Suffering

At 18th level you have become one with the void, losing the ability to speak and instead gaining the ability to project your voice into the mind of those around you. The diameter of your void secretion is increase to 60 feet around you. Being a manifestation of the void you are able to call forth your siblings from the chaotic darkness to fight alongside you, restraining your targets. Any creature that enters your void secretion must now also make a strength saving throw against your spellcasting modifier or be stunned until their next turn where they may make the saving throw once again.
