Monk
Base Class: Monk

You have thoroughly trained in the art of boxing whether it be for money, fame, or love of fighting. You know the ring inside and out and know that your fists are a weapon as fierce as any.

Breaking tradition

When you take this subclass you may forgo the dexterity modifier in your unarmored defense and instead replace it with your constitution modifier.

Guard

Starting at third level when you take bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage from a weapon attack you may use your reaction and one ki point to gain resistance to that attack.

Set-up jab

From 3rd level onward before you make an unarmed strike you may designate it as a set-up jab. When you do so you gain a +1 to hit. If the attack hits you deal half damage. In addition if the jab lands your next unarmed strike before the end of your turn scores a critical hit on an 18, 19, or 20.

Counter punch

Your experience in fights has lead you to the realization that a stronger opponents power can can be as much his downfall as it is your own and given you a sense of timing for even the fastest of attacks

Starting at level 6 you gain the following benefits

Instant: if an enemy within 5 feet of you misses on a weapon attack you may use your reaction OR spend one ki point to make an attack of opportunity on that enemy.

Delayed instant: When a creature makes an attack roll on you, you may spend a ki point to add 2 to your AC and potentially make the attack miss

Bait and Switch: when you use your guard feature you may move up in the initiative order so that you are next to go unless you have already gone this round

Power Punch

starting at level 11 you gain specialized punches that you can choose from when scoring a critical hit

Liver Blow: You force the creature to make a constitution saving throw against your ki save DC. If they fail they are knocked prone. On their turn they must make another CON saving throw to stand up

Gazelle Punch: You push a creature of large or smaller size back 5 feet and must make a strength saving throw against your ki save DC or be knocked back an additional 20 feet.

Bone Crusher: You may roll an additional martial arts die and add it to the crit damage.

No Escape

Starting at 17th level your focus and dedication has made you a master of fundamentals of combat to the point where it is totally reflexive. Your unarmed strikes are never made with disadvantage and your flurry of blows no longer costs a ki point to use.
