College of Legends

Bards of the College of Legends embrace the epic feats of their friends loving to create new legends to triumph over the old.  They work hard build the morale of their friends with bombastic displays of magic and tend to document their marvelous stories into their many journals.

Acknowledge Awesome

Whenever an ally within 30 feet of you, who you can see, rolls a natural 20 on an attack roll or ability check or succeeds on an attack roll of ability check by 5 or more, you can use your reaction to grant that creature 1 Awesome Point.  A creature can have no more than 5 Awesome Points at one time.

A Creature with at least 1 Awesome Point can expend a number of Awesome Point up to their current total to gain a bonus to their next attack roll equal to the amount of Awesome Point spent.  Any unspent Awesome Points are lost when a creature finishes an extended rest.

Radical Spellcasting

Whenever you cast a spell, you do so in a bombastic and showy fashion invigorating those around you.

Whenever you roll a natural 20 or succeed on a spell attack roll by 5 or more with a spell of level 1 or higher, you may grant 1 Awesome Point to one ally within 30 feet or you.

Also whenever you target an ally with a spell of level 1 or higher, you may grant that creature 1 Awesome Point.

Legendary Ballad

As an action, you can start a performance that lasts until the end of your next turn.  During that time, any friendly creature within 30 feet of you gains advantage on any attack roll or ability check they make where they expend at least 1 Awesome Point.  A creature must be able to hear you to gain this benefit.  The Performance ends early if you are incapacitated or silenced, or if you choose to end it early (no action required).
