Base Class: Monk
Silver-Voiced Nightingale style is an esoteric art, focusing on the use of the stylist’s voice in both song and warfare. Through rigorous training in breath control, circular breathing, and long, sustained chants, students of this style learn to fight with kiais, powerful shouts with the strength to kill. They are also consummate performers, singing on the battlefield to strengthen the morale of their allies and shatter that of their enemies. While the style’s appellation honors the eponymous martial artist who created it in the distant past, the full title is only remembered by things that have lived longer than the oldest Great Wyrms.
Voice of the Night Bird
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can focus your ki through your voice into powerful kiai shouts.
Your unarmed attacks have a range of 15 feet, and you may use any of your other attack-based Monk abilities (Flurry of Blows, Stunning Strike, etc.) at this range.
Also, when attacking at melee range, you may use your bonus action and spend 2 ki points to empower your attack with a thunderous smite.
Terrifying Battle Shriek
At 6th level, your battle cry shakes enemies to their cores. You may spend 4 ki points to cast fear.
You can also focus this fear into a whisper that finds its intended target through even crowded, noisy feasthalls. You may spend 1 ki point to cast cause fear.
Aria of Victory
At 11th level, you may spend 5 ki points to sing a battle hymn, bolstering and healing nearby allies.
All allies in a 30 ft. radius that can hear you regain 2d6 hit points and are immune to being frightened for the remainder of the encounter.
You may only use this ability once per long rest.
Shattering Discord Cacophony
At 17th level, you uncover the secrets of the resonant frequency of the universe and learn how to weaponize it.
As an action, make an unarmed attack roll against a single target. On a failed Constitution saving throw, the damage from the attack effects the target's Initiative value rather than their hit points, reducing their place on the initiative track by the damage dealt. This damage is not affected by any resistances or immunities. This new initiative value takes effect at the end of the current round. If this reduces the target to 0 or less initiative, the target disappears with a silent scream and ominous droning hum as the universe rebalances its harmonic frequency.
Until the target's next turn, all attacks made against them have advantage, and they cannot take reactions (they may still take legendary actions).
This attack may be combined with Flurry of Blows to do more damage, but each separate attack gets a new saving throw.
