Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The world is not young. Empires have risen and fallen, civilisations have crumbled to dust, and the deities they worshipped have been forgotten. All that remains are crumbling ruins, magical relics, and few works of art and literature. In the case of deities, only a family or two still practise their religion.

Those that have taken the Oath of Study have sworn to remember the old ways, and to seek out artifacts from older eras. Some paladins are sworn to specific civilisation or deity, others simply seek to find and preserve past relics. Some of them seek to prevent access to these relics to, while some paladins seek to unearth these relics so that all might see them.

 Tenets of Study

  • Remember the Old Ways: Seek to learn all you can about the lore of the older eras.
  • Protect the Old Ways: You must preserve all relics and tomes from ancient eras you can find. Even if they are evil, they may have much that can be learned from them.
  • Understand the Old Ways: You divorce yourself from the judgement of older eras. You seek to understand both good and evil civilisations equally.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Divine Knowledge: You may expend one use of your Channel Divinity feature to gain advantage on all Arcana, History, Nature, and Religion checks for an hour.

Unerring Resistance: You can use your Channel Divinity to resist the effects of magic or other dangers. When you make a saving throw, you can use your Channel Divinity to gain a +10 bonus to the roll. You can make this choice after you see the roll, but before the DM says the result.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
