War Drummer

Bards that take the role of the War Drummer are bring themselves to the frontlines for two purposes, to give courage to their allies and hammer fear into the enemies. In the barracks, these bards act as the soul of their company with their jest, kindness, and fanaticism. They have seen enough battlefields to know that a demoralized ally is a liability, while a demoralized foe leads to victory.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you become a War Drummer at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor and martial weapons.

Combat Inspiration

Also at 3rd level, you learn to inspire others in battle. A creature that has a Bardic Inspiration die from you can roll that die and add the number rolled to a weapon damage roll it just made. Alternatively, when an attack roll is made against the creature, it can use its reaction to roll the Bardic Inspiration die and add the number rolled to its AC against that attack, after seeing the roll but before knowing whether it hits or misses.

Courage and Demoralization

Starting at 6th level, you can help allies get out of sticky situations and strike fear into the enemy's heart.

• You can spend a bardic inspiration die to cause an enemy creature within 60 ft of you, that can hear you, to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or become frightened of you for the next minute.
• You can spend a bardic inspiration die to cause a willing ally creature within 60 ft of you, that can hear you, to move up to half of their speed as their reaction, this movement doesn't provoke opportunity attacks.

Complete Demoralization

At 14th level, you become a beacon of fear to your enemies. As an action on your turn, you may make make any number of creatures of your choosing within 60 ft of you make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or become frightened by you for the next minute. In addition to the condition, if any creature fails this save, that creature also cannot use their reactions while with in 60 ft of you while they are under the frightened condition.
