The Order of the Kaolin Gauntlet was instituted originally during a time when mighty beings the size of Titans plagued the homelands of the Kaolin. In the lineage and bloodline of the Kaolin, many fought in hand to hand combat to rupture the oversized giants and drive them out as they possessed an unnatural gift to destroy any earthly property using only their bare hands. When peace finally settled upon their homeland it was fabled that many of the great warriors chose to bandage or brand their bare hands as their need to fight and defend had wavered.

But there were those who still chose to air on the side of caution. Those who felt the need to prepare for any impending dangers. It was agreed by the founding members of the Order that the pure raw strength of their bare hands should only be used in dire circumstances, but the tutelage that was bestowed upon them by their ancestors should be taught to those with great heart. In solemn agreement two of the founding members, Aliaga and Vicros, took to the Great Forge to create the first Kaolin Gauntlet and share their secrets with the world.

Now nearly centuries later the Way of the Kaolin Gauntlet presides in one sole monastery, tucked away in Oriana's Spine. This martial art is taught to those with a desire to fight for the defenseless, and be the mountain that would protect villages, towns and cities from any storm that crossed their path.

Heavy Hands

Upon learning the Way of the Kaolin Gauntlet, unarmed strikes made using the attack action deal a 1d8 bludgeoning.

Sunrise & Sunset Stance

Sunrise & Sunset: When you roll initiative you may choose one of two stances. This stance is active through all of combat and you may switch stance at anytime on your turn using a bonus action. The benefits of each stance are:

Sunrise Stance: At the beginning of every 3rd round, regenerate 1 ki point up to your maximum.

Sunset Stance: Reduce incoming non-magical physical damage by an amount equal to your constitution modifier.

Dawn & Dusk

Your Sunrise and Sunset stance also gain the following traits:

Sunrise Stance: Any unarmed strikes made gain an additional bonus to hit and damage equal to half your proficiency bonus, rounded down.

Sunset Stance: The damage reduction from Sunset stance now extends to all sources of bludgeoning, piercing and slashing as well as fire, cold, thunder, lightning, and force damage.

The Earth Mother's Eruption

Your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d8 force damage. This effect lasts for one minute and cannot be used again until you complete a long rest.

Titan's Shatter

Harnessing the lineage of Kaolin ancestors, you strike the ground beneath you sending out a shockwave. Spend 3 ki points and each creature within 10 feet must make a dexterity saving throw taking 2d10 bludgeoning damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful save. You may spend up to 5 additional ki points increasing the damage by 1d10 per point spent.
