Base Class: Paladin
When the first morals sprang from the mud the Dragon race was ancient. For as long as they roamed the Planes of Eos there have been mortals who took up arms in the names of these Dragons. To many, dragons are meant to be viewed with awe and feared from afar. Some, however, see them as worthy of admiration and service. Whether pledging oneself to one of the dragon gods, a specific dragon, or the reborn spirit of a dragon living within, your oath connects you to a dragon’s power.
Sometimes called Dragconians Warriors, Wyrm Paladins, or Dragon Knights, those who swear upon the Oath of the Scaled Lords do so in the name of the Dragon Gods. Whether Dahakar, Mere Vala, Asteran, Null, or any other of the Scaled Lords each expects a sign of devotion to their creed and they will mark their followers as one of their's and their's alone. Scaled Lords do not share what they claim as their horde with any but the most worthy.
Primordial Blessing
Before all things Dragons were, are, and always will be Primordials. Ancient beings of chaos or order but always raw elemental power. A lesser dragon whether ancient or hatchling is almost forever bound to their particular element. But gods have no such restrictions.
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following feature.
Immediately after a long rest the paladin can spend 10 minutes reciting their oath in a ritual. When they do the paladin may pick fire, cold, lightning, thunder, poison, or acid. This element then becomes their Primordial Blessing. The blessing can be changed by repeating this process and the choosing a different element. If the ritual is interrupted, stopped, or not preformed first thing after a long rest the blessing can not be changed till the next long rest and a new attempt is made.
If during a ritual a fang, a scale, and a piece of flesh no smaller than a 6 inch cube from a slain Shadow Dragon is presented as an offering, if it is accepted, then the offering will be destroyed by the previous blessing's elemental energies as it leave the paladin's body. The paladin then gains access to necrotic as one of its Primordial Blessing elements.
If during a ritual a fang, a scale, and a piece of flesh no smaller than a 6 inch cube from a slain Platinum Dragon is presented as an offering, if it is accepted, then the offering will be destroyed by the previous blessing's elemental energies as it leave the paladin's body. The paladin then gains access to radiant as one of its Primordial Blessing elements.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Draconic Roar. - As an action, you can call upon the powers of the dragons you revere, and for a moment, challenge an enemy with the ferocity and energy of a dragon's roar. Choose one creature within 30 feet of you that you can see. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for 1 minute. It can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, freeing itself of the fear on success. Dragons have immunity to this effect, but other creatures that speak Draconic have disadvantage on the save.
Gift of the Breath. As an action, you touch one willing creature and channel your Primordial Blessing. That creature, as an action, may exhale a blast of destructive energy. All creatures within a 15 foot cone or 30 foot line originating from the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw or take damage 2d10 +your Paladin level on a failed roll, or half as much on a successful roll of your chosen Primordial Blessing's type. At the 15th level, your Gift of the Breath does 4d10 +your Paladin level.
