Base Class: Monk

Lizard monks also called Lizard warriors are monks who follow very old Lizardfolk martial tradition used from ancient times by inhabitants of Essylliss and Ubtao temples in Chult and other locations. They follow the path appointed by their patrons to defend the temple and live in harmony with world. Beside basic training used by all monks to gain super natural powers, these monks undergo special training to utilize natural advantages of their race including scales, sharp teeth and capacious lungs.

Lizardfolk Training

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can better utilize your natural predispositions gaining following benefits:

  • When you hit target with an unarmed strike using your Bite racial trait, as part of the attack action or when using Hungry Jaws trait, you deal additional 1d4 points of piercing damage but you can't attempt a stunning strike.
  • While you are wearing no armor and not wielding a Shield, your AC equals 13 + your Dexterity modifier + your Wisdom modifier.
  • You can hold your breath for up to 30 minutes at a time.

Carnivorous Monk

Starting at 6th level, as an action you can consume vital organs of Small or Medium dragon, fey, giant or humanoid that died within the last minute. If you do so, you regain number of ki points equal to that creature's Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). You can't use this feature again before you finish long rest.

Poisonous Jaws

Beginning at 11th level, you can use your Hungry Jaws racial trait number of times equal to your Constitution modifier before finishing short or long rest. Additionally, if the attack hits, target takes additional poison damage equal to roll of your Martial Arts dice.

Omniraptor

Starting at 17th level, you push yourself beyond limits of your race becoming deadly predator. You gain following benefits:

  • Your speed increases by 10 feet.
  • You can double the distance of your high and long jump.
  • You can hold your breath for up to 1 hour at a time.
  • You can double your proficiency bonus for any ability check that uses proficiency in skill you have chosen with your Hunter's Lore racial trait.
