Base Class: Bard
The College of Bass is home to bards who have spent their lives perfecting the art of BASS. Bass Bards use the power of roaring basslines to make themselves heard among adventuring bands.
Roaring Feedback
Whenever you make a ranged spell attack, you may expend use of your Bardic Inspiration to send a wave of frequencies against your enemies. The feedback has the following effect:
- Screech. The feedback sends a shockwave through your enemies. Each target of the ranged spell attack takes an additional amount of damage equal to 1d6 plus the amount rolled on your Bardic Inspiration die. This increases to 2d6 at 5th level, 3d6 at 10th level, and 5d6 at 15th level.
- Earpierce. The feedback creates a sound so loud that your enemies succumb. Each target of the ranged spell attack makes a Constitution saving throw. Each creature that fails becomes deafened for a number of rounds equal to the number rolled on your Bardic Inspiration die.
- Disorient. The feedback throws your enemies off-course. The movement of each target of the ranged spell attack is halved until the end of its next turn, and it has disadvantage on its next attack roll.
Rolling Temblor
At 6th level, you gain the ability to invoke earthquakes with your bass that knocks your enemies off their feet. As a bonus action, you cast earth tremor, without expending a spell slot, and you begin to hover slightly above the ground for 1 minute. During this time, you may cast earth tremor as a bonus action on each of your turns, minus the damage effect.
Lash of Cacophony
At 14th level, you gain the ability to rip the strings from your bass and use them as both a weapon and as a spellcasting focus. As a bonus action on each of your turns, you may make a melee attack roll against a creature within 5 ft. of you. The damage die of your lash strings is that of your Bardic Inspiration die. The lash is magical and has finesse.
