Bard
Base Class: Bard

A true Filí is a master of oral tradition - they function to preserve and pass down the history, knowledge and folklore of their people to future generations, and exist in proud positions of power. Revered for their gift with poetry and prose, their prophetic visions and their vast knowledge of the past, the Filí are scholars, poets and warriors alike.

A bard of this college values the collection and preservation of folklore, mythology and histories of the world and can often be placed in positions of influence by monarchs seeking favour from the Filí's prophetic visions.

An Filí Maith

Your study of history and folklore and your prophetic visions have granted you proficiency in some skills. When you choose to begin your journey as a Filí at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in performance and history. If you are already proficient in any of these skills, you become an expert in that skill.

Prophetic Poet

When you reach 3rd level, your study of prophecy has gifted you with future sight. As a bonus action, you may expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to recite a prophetic poem. Roll a d20 and take the result. For the next minute, when a hostile creature or an ally must make a saving throw or an attack roll, you may substitute the result of that roll for the number you rolled. You may choose to do this after the dice has been rolled, but before the DM informs you of the outcome.

You may only use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier per long rest.

Nature's Poetry

Your search for the folklore and tales of many peoples has sent you to wild and remote places, where you have sundered these secrets. When you reach 6th level in this class, choose two spells from the Druid spell list. You may cast these spells without using a spell slot once each per short rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

You gain one additional spell from the Druid list at 12th and 16th level, which can be cast in the same way.

Oral Tradition

Your collection of folklore and history has made you a master storyteller. When you reach 14th level, as a bonus action, you may expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to tell a captivating tale. Any who hear this tale are completely wound up by it, and risk losing themselves in it. Choose up to five creatures withing 60 feet. Depending on the flavour of your story, the following effects may occur:

Scary Story: You tell a frightening tale of foreboding doom to your audience. Each creature you targeted must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of you for 1 minute.

Heroic Journey: You tell a tale of great heroic deeds and battles to your audience. Each creature you targeted must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become charmed  by you for 1 minute.

A Tale of the Tuatha: You tell a story mired in the folklore and celestial ways of the otherworldy Tuatha de Danann to your audience. Each creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become stunned for 1 minute.

You may use this feature once per long rest.
