Base Class: Druid
The Hive is an extraterrestrial empire, hailing from a distant collection of celestial bodies, they communicate through telepathy, a hive-mind. This Empire is ruled by Omnigul, the Hive Queen. They seek domination over their enemies, infesting and growing. Druids that a part of this circle, The Hive, usually discover it through some lucid dream, as The Hive randomly reaches out. These Druids are compelled to spread the spores as much as they can.
Infectious Spores
When you choose this circle at 2nd level, you can cause Hive spores to sprout on vegetation or corpses, spreading The Hive's reach. You can use your bonus action to cause these spores to sprout violently on living creatures as well. The creature makes a constitution saving throw is poisoned and takes 2d4 poison damage for a number of rounds equal to your wisdom modifier. This damage increases as you level up, becoming 2d6 at 6th level, 2d8 at 10th level, and 2d10 at 14th level. This feature has a range of 30 feet.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier per long rest.
Malformed Spores
Starting at 3rd level, your spores evolve to become either more toxic, longer, or more available at further ranges. At 10th level, you can choose a second upgrade.
- Toxic Spores: The initial damage the creature takes does extra damage equal to twice your wisdom modifier.
- Persistent Spores: The duration of your Infectious Spores feature increases from a number of rounds to 1 minute, this increases to 2 minutes at 6th level, 4 minutes at 10th level, and then 10 minutes at 14th level.
- Extended Spores: The range of your Infectious Spores feature increases from 30 feet to 60 feet, this increases to 90 feet at 6th level, 120 feet at 10th level, and 240 feet at 14th level.
Extended Spores
The spores grow light wings that let it fly with the wind, carrying it further distances. The range of your Infectious Spores feature increases from 30 feet to 60 feet, this increases to 90 feet at 6th level, 120 feet at 10th level, and 240 feet at 14th level.
Persistent Spores
The spores take deeper roots within the victim, solidifying their presence. The duration of your Infectious Spores feature increases from a number of rounds to 1 minute, this increases to 2 minutes at 6th level, 4 minutes at 10th level, and then 10 minutes at 14th level.
Toxic Spores
Your Infectious Spores release more toxic fumes, which choke your victim. The initial damage the creature takes does extra damage equal to twice your wisdom modifier.
Hive Transformations
Starting at 6th level, you Wild Shape takes on traits from the mysterious denizens of The Hive. When you use your Wild Shape, you can choose one Hive Transformation trait that is active as long as you are in your Wild Shape. Choose one trait:
Chitinous Plating: Your AC is 15 + your dexterity modifier for your Wild Shape.
Infectious Icor: When you land your first attack of the round while in your Wild Shape, the creature that you hit must make a constitution saving throw (against your spell DC) or take 3d8 poison damage and be poisoned for 1d4 minutes. While poisoned, the creature takes an extra 1d6 poison damage when they are hit.
Fungal Cavities: While in Wild Shape, you can use your action to force all creatures within 5 feet of you to make a constitution saving throw (against your spell DC) or take 4d10 poison damage.
This feature can be used a number of times per long rest equal to your constitution modifier.
Chitinous Plating
If you choose this Transformation, you Wild Shape grows bony, chitinous armour over its body. While in Wild Shape, your AC is 15 + your dexterity modifier for your Wild Shape.
Fungal Cavities
If you choose this feature, sunken holes form on the body of your Wild Shape, which can emit deadly spores. While in Wild Shape, you can use your action to force all creatures within 5 feet of you to make a constitution saving throw (against your spell DC) or take 2d10 poison damage.
Infectious Icor
If you choose this feature, your Wild Shapes' means of weaponry drip with a green, sickly icor that seeps into an opponent's bloodstream.
When you land your first attack of the round while in your Wild Shape, the creature that you hit must make a constitution saving throw (against your spell DC) or take 3d6 poison damage and be poisoned for 1d4 minutes. While poisoned, the creature takes an extra 1d6 poison damage when they are hit.
Debilitating Spores
When you reach 10th level, your Infectious Spores course through your target's veins, weakening them in all ways. Creatures poisoned by your Infectious Spores feature have disadvantage on saving throws against your spells.
At the 14th level they also have disadvantage on saving throws against your Hive Transformation feature should they need to make one.
Transformations of Omnigul
When you reach 14th level, your Transformations have been improved upon by Omnigul, the Hive Queen, herself. When you choose your Hive Transformation, you can choose two features from an expanded list:
Wings of Omnigul: You gain a flight speed of 40 feet. If your Wild Shape can already fly, its flight speed is doubled.
Armour of Omnigul: Your AC is the Wild Shape's natural AC + your dexterity modifier + your wisdom modifier. If this option is paired with Chitinous Plating, the AC becomes 15 + your wisdom modifier.
Speed of Omnigul: The Wild Shape's walking speed is doubled.
Power of Omnigul: It gains a bonus on all strength-based saving throws and ability checks equal to your wisdom modifier.
Armour of Omnigul
Mystical shadows loom over the physical form of your Wild Shape, making it indiscernible of its shape and thus, harder to hit. Your AC is the Wild Shape's natural AC + your dexterity modifier + your wisdom modifier. If this option is paired with Chitinous Plating, the AC becomes 15 + your wisdom modifier.
Power of Omnigul
The muscles and power of your Wild Shape twitch with an unnatural boost of power. All strength-based saving throws and ability checks have an extra bonus equal to your wisdom modifier.
Speed of Omnigul
Your Wild Shape's leg muscles expand unnaturally with immense strength. The Wild Shape's walking speed is doubled.
Wings of Omnigul
Fleshy wings sprout from the spine of your Wild Shape, these wings are bony and fleshy, yet powerful. You gain a flight speed of 40 feet. If your Wild Shape can already fly, its flight speed is doubled.
