Base Class: Ranger

Poisoners are often hired as professional assassins and alchemists. They draw ingredients and poisons from the nature and use them to devastate their enemies from the inside out. And the most experienced ones are called the Plague Doctors. There are three types of Plague Doctors that all poisoners respect; miasmatics, cleansers, and executioners.

Alchemic Foraging

When you become a Poisoner at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with Alchemist Supplies and Poisoner's kit tools. You also gain advantage on Nature checks to identify or harvest ingredients or poisons from the wild.

Expert of Poisons

Beginning at 7th level, you can apply a contact or injury poison to a weapon as a bonus action on your turn. When you do so, it has multiple charges. Poisoning a creature with this weapon expends one charge. The number of charges starts from 2 at 7th level, and increases to 3 at 11th level, 4 at 15th level, and 5 at 17th level.

Also, your ingested/inhaled poisons (if they deal damage) will deal an extra die of poison damage. The number of dice increases to 2 dice at 11th level, 3 dice at 15th level, and 4 dice at 17th level.

Snake Blood

Starting at 11th level, you gain advantage on saving throws to resist poisons and resistance to poison damage. In addition, poisons you craft or harvest will use your Spell Save DC for its saving throw DC unless it's own DC is higher.

Plague Doctor

At 15th level, you join the Plague Doctors Guild and gain one of the following benefits based on which discipline you follow;

Cleanser

If you or an ally is poisoned, you can make a Medicine check to learn the recipe for that poison’s antidote.

Executioner

A weapon of your choice (including a ranged weapon such as a longbow) gains an infinite number of charges with one poison.

Miasmatic

When a creature affected by one of your poisons dies, all creatures within 10 feet of it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or suffer the same effects of that poison. Counts as an inhaled poison, but does not benefit from the Poison Expert feature.
