Base Class: Fighter
Having seen their share of horrors in war, opportunity reveals itself to be a far greater asset to overcome threats than mere arsenal. They employ an array of tactics ranging from combat insight, martial art, and political influence. As a paragon of gumption and grit, they represent a proud few who will brave the eleventh hour eyes forward. The centurion is known for their courage and endurance, as such it reflects in their combat style recalling the tenacity of the lion.
Lion's Paw
When you reach 3rd level you take your martial arts to the field, make a bonus action melee attack with your off-hand, if successful the target takes 1d4 bludgeoning damage and they make a constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Strength Modifier). If the target fails the save they are stunned until they are incapacitated, hit, or succeed the constitution save on their next turn. You cannot use this ability while wielding a shield.*
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your strength modifier before a short or long rest. The damage from this feature goes up to 1d6 at 5th level, 1d8 at 10th level, and 1d12 at 15th level.
*This character will also utilize a homebrew item called the 'parrying gauntlet.' It counts as medium armor, has a 13 dexterity minimum requirement to wield, and it offers +1 AC but doesn't occupy the off-hand it is worn on.
Galvanize
When you reach 3rd level you may, as an action, inspire or instruct your comrades to move accordingly towards an enemy. Any target within 30ft, that are not deafened, may received a 1d4 to their next attack roll.
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your wisdom modifier before a long rest. The die from this feature goes up to 1d6 at 8th level, 1d8 at 14th level, and 1d10 at 18th level.
Praetorian
When you reach 7th level you begin to maneuver through the peerage with poise and precision, as such you gain the following qualities:
You gain proficiency in insight checks, and you may roll them at advantage around nobility or members of military rank.
You have advantage on wisdom saving throws against being frightened.
You gain proficiency in calligraphers tools.
Lion's Rush
When you reach 10th level you take the battle to them with more tenacity and grit. As a bonus action make a melee attack planting a stiff kick into your target, the target makes a strength saving throw (DC = 8 + Your Proficiency Bonus + Your Strength Modifier). If successful the target it knocked 5ft backwards and takes 1d8 of bludgeoning damage. On failure, the target is knocked prone.
You may use this feature a number of times equal to your strength modifier before a short or long rest. The damage from this feature goes up to 1d10 at 15th level, and 1d12 at 18th level.
Bridge the Gap
When you reach 15th level you movements become deft and graceful. For your first turn each combat your movement speed doubles, during this movement period attacks of opportunity made against you are done so at disadvantage. When you make an attack during this movement period your first attack gains +5ft of range, if this attack hits add 1d10 of the damage type your weapon deals to your damage roll.
Pride of the Legion
As an exemplar of determination and leadership, inspire your comrades to bring out their fullest potential. When you reach 18th level you may, once per combat, maximize all feature dice from Lion's Paw, Galvanize, Lion's Rush, and Bridge the Gap.
