Base Class: Monk
Monks who follow the Way of the Street Brawler work with rough-and-tumble fighting. Unlike most monks, these monks aren't normally part of a conventional monastery. Instead, your monk could have been part of an underground fight club or was forced to learn how to fight on their own. They use ki to assist in improvised fighting instead of magical effects or knowledge.
Improvised Technique
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you have learned how to improvise when fighting. Every time you level up, you gain an extra hit point. You also gain proficiency with improvised weapons. They count as monk weapons for you.
Defensive Block
At 6th level, you can block enemy blows and even use the momentum to hit your opponents. When you get hit by a melee weapon attack, you can use your reaction to block the attack and reduce the damage by 1d10 + your Dexterity modifier + your monk level. If you reduce the damage to 0, you can spend 1 ki point to make an attack with an unarmed strike or with a monk weapon as long as the enemy is within your reach.
Strength of Mind and Body
Beginning at 11th level, your body can adapt itself to resist physical and mental attacks. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points to gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, slashing, and psychic damage for 1 minute.
Unending Stamina
At 17th level, your stamina is unmatched. If you drop to 0 hit points, you can spend 8 ki points to return to half of your hit point maximum (rounded up). Once you use this feature, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again.
