Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

The Order of the Grave acts as the balancing force in the world of Arganda. They are one of the oldest establishments that have remained active since the dawn of civilization. Legends speak of tales where the Lord of the Dead Kelemvor himself came down in the form of the Order to ward off dangers and establish peace for the living and the dead. There are even records of heroes from years, who were able to prove their worth to Kelemvor and went onto become one with the deity, going on to service him even after death.

To be a part of this order, it takes extreme dedication and years of vigorous study spending day and night in the University of Zyren. Even then, it is also dependent on whom the deity chooses to have their potential unlocked. Unfortunately, there have been fewer and fewer disciples who got the picked by the deity. With that, the number of remaining order members is scarce.

However, after the War against the Descended, the amount of people getting the blessings of Kelemvor is getting more rare and rare, making the world slowly forget about the study of hemocracy. The remaining disciples however are extremely devoted to the cause. Having heard of the tales of legendary heroes from their order, the disciples strive to form a connection with the stoic and unwavering Kelemvor.

Kelemvor's Blessings

As you gain the favor of Kelemvor, you are blessed with the ability to perform wonders in his name to ensure balance is restored. Starting at 3rd level, you learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Kelemvor's Blessings Spells table. The spell counts as a warlock spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of spells you know.

In addition, you learn the spare the dying cantrip, which doesn’t count against the number of warlock cantrips you know. For you, it has a range of 30 feet, and you can cast it as a bonus action.

Pact Magic

When you reach 3rd level, you can augment your combat techniques with the ability to cast spells. See chapter 10 of the PHB for the general rules of spellcasting and chapter 11 of the Player’s Handbook for the Warlock spell list.

Cantrips. You learn two cantrips of your choice from the warlock spell list. You learn an additional warlock cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots. The Grave Blood Hunter Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have. The table also shows what the level of those slots is; all of your spell slots are the same level. To cast one of your warlock spells of 1st level or higher, you must expend a spell slot. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a short or long rest.

For example, when you are 8th level, you have two 2nd-level spell slots. To cast the 1st-level spell witch bolt, you must spend one of those slots, and you cast it as a 2nd-level spell.

Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher. At 3rd level, you know two 1st-level spells of your choice from the warlock spell list.

The Spells Known column of the Grave Blood Hunter table shows when you learn more warlock spells of your choice of 1st level and higher. A spell you choose must be of a level no higher than what’s shown in the table’s Slot Level column for your level. When you reach 11th level, for example, you learn a new warlock spell, which can be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd level.

Additionally, when you gain a level in this class and order, you can choose one of the warlock spells you know and replace it with another spell from the warlock spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for your warlock spells, so you use your Intelligence whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Intelligence modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a warlock spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Intelligence modifier

Upon reaching 15th level, your Brand of Castigation feature now latch onto the creature's soul, arcane scars into your target, leaving them vulnerable to the wrath of Kelemvor. A creature branded by you has to make a CON SAVE against your Spell Save DC on it's first turn in combat while you are present. On a failure, the creature misses it's turn.

Blood Curse of the Crystal Spire

Starting at 18th level, you’ve learned to channel the essence of Kelemvor. You gain the Blood Curse of the Crystal Spire for your Blood Maledict feature. This does not count against your number of blood curses known.
