Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

For some barbarians, their rage is too powerful to be contained in just one plane of existence. The barbarians that follow the Path of the Mist Walker have honed their fury to such a sharp degree that they are now able to step into the ethereal plane.

Ethereal Slash

You channel your fury to bypass any obstacles in the way of your target. You use your bonus action to teleport through the Ethereal Plane popping out in an unoccupied space 5 feet from a target that you can see within 30 feet. As you arrive, you can deliver a melee attack to the target.

You gain additional uses of this feature when you reach higher levels. You can use it twice per Long Rest at 6th level, and three times at 12th level. You can use this ability once per Long Rest.

Phase Step

When you are targeted by a Melee Weapon or Spell attack, you can use your reaction to slip into the Ethereal Plane until the start of your next turn. You can use this feature once per Short Rest.

Reckless Barrage

Beginning at 10th level, when attacking a target recklessly, you can gather additional force from the Ethereal Plane. On a successful hit, your attack deals an additional 2d6 force damage.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Strength modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Ethereal Duel

Using your fury, you harness the ethereal to pull a target into a tethered dual.
While raging, you can use a bonus action to target one creature within 30 feet. The creature must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw, or they are pulled within 5ft of you as you both enter the Ethereal plane. You and the target remain in the Ethereal plane for a maximum of 3 rounds. At the end of each of the target’s turns, they may attempt another saving throw to return to the material plane.

At the end of your 3rd turn in the plane, or if the target makes their saving throw, you are both thrown back into the material plane, landing in the space you left behind or in the closest unoccupied space within 5ft.

You can use this feature once per Long Rest.
