Base Class: Monk
By manipulating the wave, you deny spellcasters their advantage.
Whisper in the Void
If you can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language you understand, you can interpret their words by reading their lips.
Mystic Spellcasting
You learn magical disciplines. A discipline requires you to spend ki points each time you use it.
Casting Spells
See the Spellcasting section for the general rules of spellcasting. Your spells from this tradition only require somatic components, and are not treated as spells; as such they cannot be interrupted by spells like Counterspell or dispelled by spells like Dispel Magic. Your spellcasting modifier is Wisdom.
Once you reach 5th level in this class, you can spend additional ki points to increase the level of a spell that you cast, provided that the spell has an enhanced effect at a higher level, as Dispel Magic does. The spell’s level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend. For example, if you are a 5th-level monk and use Disrupt the Weave to cast Dispel Magic, you can spend 4 ki points to cast it as a 4th-level spell (the discipline’s base cost of 3 ki points plus 1).
The maximum number of ki points you can spend to cast a spell in this way (including its base ki point cost and any additional ki points you spend to increase its level) is determined by your monk level, as shown in the Spells and Ki Points table.

Sound of a Falling Needle
You have learned to turn your inner peace outward, releasing a deafening silence on your surroundings. You can spend 2 Ki points to cast Silence as an action. It becomes a 5-foot-radius Sphere moving with you remaining centered on you. This effect is suppressed during your movement.
While this effect is active on you, you can make an an Unarmed Attack roll targeting a creature; you can choose to deal no damage. If you hit, the area leaves you and fills the target's square, moving with the it until the start of your next turn: it then returns to you. This attack can replace any Unarmed attacks made as part of an: Attack action, or as part of a bonus action, or as part of a reaction.
Disrupt the Weave
At 6th level you gain the ability to disrupt lasting spell effects. You can spend 3 Ki points. For 1 minute, or until you hit with an unarmed attack or you touch a magic item with a hand, you can attempt the following maneuvers:
Make an Unarmed Attack roll targeting a creature, object, or magical effect. Attacks against unattended objects or magical effects automatically hit. If you hit, cast Dispel Magic on the target as if using a 3rd level spell slot. You can spend Ki Points to increase the level the spell slot by 1 for each.
Touch a magic item. If it is held by a creature, Make an Unarmed Attack roll targeting contested by the target's Strength (Athletics) check or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If the item provides a bonus to AC or to attack rolls an damage rolls, the target may add the bonus to their roll. If the attacker wins the contest, the attack causes no damage or other ill effect, but the item's magic is suppressed for 1 minute.
These attacks can replace any Unarmed attacks made as part of the: Attack action, or as part of a bonus action.
Needle in the Wind
At 6th level you gain the ability to disrupt a spell being cast. When you see a creature within 60 feet of you casting a spell, you can use your reaction to make 2 Ranged attacks with your Darts before the spell is cast; you may draw the darts from your inventory as part of the action if you have a free hand. If either attack hits, you can spend 3 Ki Points to cast Counterspell on the target as if using a 3rd level spell slot. You can spend Ki Points to increase the level the spell slot by 1 for each.
Deflect Magic Missiles
At 6th level, Deflect Missiles can now also be used to deflect ranged spell attacks. When deflecting ranged spell attacks, use your Wisdom modifier in place of your Dexterity modifier (1d10 + your Wisdom modifier + your monk level). If the spell being deflected is a spell with multiple missiles, such as Magic Missile or Eldritch Blast, you can deflect all the projectiles targeting you with a single reaction, but the total damage reduction cannot exceed the value you rolled.
Improved Disrupt the Weave
At 11th level you gain the following features:
While suppressing the effect of a magic item granting a bonus to AC or attack and damage, gain this bonus to AC and attack and damage while supressing the effect.
When you would cause a spell to fail with Counterspell, you can spend 1 additional Ki Point to select a new target or select a new point of origin of the spell instead of causing it to fail.
When you would end a spell with Dispel Magic, you can spend an 1 additional Ki Point to select a new target or select a new point of origin of the spell instead of ending the spell.
Puncture the Weave
At 17th level you can spend 8 Ki Points to cast the Antimagic Field spell as an 8th-level spell once with this trait. You regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a long rest. You can choose to spend no Ki Points when casting this spell to reduced the area of the spell to a 5-foot cube and reduce the duration to 1 minute.
