Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Blood is often taken in a moment of anguish by those seeking the strength to overcome tragedy or agony. These Paladins swear on the blood of their own life in exchange for the ability to seek justice for the pain to which they have been subjected. Proud warriors that have faltered in battle, desperate people that could not save a loved one and those that seek to purify their concious of former sins all take the Oath of Blood. These paladins are known to be dour and brusque, rarely sharing information as to how they came to take their oath. Despite their standoffish nature, those that have taken the Oath of Blood are fiercely protective, and will throw themselves obsessively into protecting others from a similar fate to that which led the paladin to its oath.
Transfusion (Expanded Lay on Hands)
When you take this oath at 3rd level you gain the ability to sacrifice your own health as part of lay on hands. When you heal another creature with your lay on hands you may take self-inflicted damage up to the number of hit points healed. The target of lay on hands gains this lost HP in addition to the regular healing from lay on hands.
This feature also allows you to sacrifice 10 of your own hit points to cure a target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it.
Channel Divinity
You gain two Channel Divinity options:
Draining Smite. Immediately after you deal damage to a creature with your Divine Smite feature, you can use your Channel Divinity as a bonus action and distribute hit points to creatures of your choice within 30 feet of you, which can include you. The total number of hit points you can distribute equals half the total damage dealt by the attack rounded down.
Pool of Blood. As an action you can roll a hit dice outside of a long rest. When you roll a hit dice as part of this action you can increase your maximum hitpoints and current hitpoints by the amount rolled plus your Constitution modifier. The effect lasts until you finish a short or long rest.
Oath Spells
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Mortifying Prayer
Beginning at 7th level, you can spend 5 to 10 minutes offering penance. As part of a short rest you can roll hit dice as part of a ritual of self-flagellation and take damage equal to the amount rolled. In exchange, you regain a combination of spell slots whose total levels are equal to the number of hit dice rolled.
Hit dice rolled in this way count against your regular pool of hit dice, and you can heal with hit dice during the same short rest that you use this feature. Damage inflicted in this way can not be reduced in any way.
You can use this feature to regain up to a number of spell levels equal to the level of your highest Paladin spell slot and can use it during any number of short rests until you have recovered spell slots of a total level equal to your highest Paladin spell slot.
You regain all uses of this feature when you complete a long rest.
Blood of Fortitude
Starting at 15th level your familiarity with pain has bolstered your resolve. When you roll a 1 or 2 on any Hit Die you spend at the end of a short rest, you can reroll the die and must use the new roll.
Soul of Sacrifice
At 20th level, as an action you can offer a prayer to sacrifice your soul in exchange for that of a creature who has recently died. When you use this feature you select the corpse of one creature that has died within the last 10 days and resurrect it to life if its soul is willing.
This feature also neutralizes any poisons and cures nonmagical diseases that affected the creature at the time it died. This feature can't return an undead creature to life. This feature closes all mortal wounds, but it doesn't restore missing body parts. If the creature is lacking body parts or organs integral for its survival--its head, for instance--the effect fails.
This feature also allows you to ignore effects that would otherwise prevent the target from being resurrected.
Once the prayer is complete the gods decide if it has come time to collect your soul. When you use this class feature you have a 5% chance to be killed instantly with no opportunity to prevent it. A character that dies as a result of this effect cannot be resurrected by any means.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
