Sorcerer of the Weave

Many Wizards view sorcerers as naïve and foolish, playing with powers that they don't understand. They scoff at the sorcerers limited number of spells and lack of knowledge of how to use them. You are living proof that they are wrong. Children of powerful arcane spellcasters, the magic of the weave flows through Sorcerers of the Weave allowing them a greater variety of spells and access to spells that wizards horde for themselves. They strike fear into the hearts of magic elitists who do not understand that a sorcerer's power is earned, not given. To more open minded spellcasters though, they are welcomed as equals and sometimes even as masters.

Variety is the Spice of Life

Your connection to the weave allows you to access spells not normally used by Sorcerers. When your Spellcasting feature lets you learn a sorcerer cantrip or a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can choose the new spell from the wizard spell list or the sorcerer spell list. You must otherwise obey all the restrictions for selecting the spell, and it counts a sorcerer spell for you. In addition, you get 1 extra spell known that must come from the wizard list and is not found on the sorcerer spell list. If you replace this spell with another spell, you must take a spell from the wizard spell list that is not on the sorcerer spell list.

 

Patience is a Virtue

If you know a spell and it has the ritual tag, you can cast the spell as a ritual. 

An Investment in Knowledge Gives the Best Interest

Starting at level 6, choose a number of spells equal to your intelligence modifier + 1/3 your sorcerer level (rounded down) from the wizard or sorcerer spell list that you do not know. Once per long rest you can replace one of the spells you know with one of these spells. The spell you replaced then is added to this list and the spell you gained is removed from this list. You can replace one of these spells with another spell from the sorcerer or wizard list when you gain a level.

You can also identify any spell you know or is on that list when you see them cast and gain advantage on arcana checks to identify spells on the wizard and sorcerer spell list.

Time is the Most Valuable Thing a Man can Spend

Starting at 14th level, if a spell of 1st to 5th level is in your spells known or a spell in your Investment in Knowledge feature and does not have a ritual tag, you can cast that spell as a ritual by expending sorcery points equal to the spell's level. 

The Only True Wisdom is Knowing You Know Nothing

Starting at 18th level, you can cast any spell of 1st to 5th level from the sorcerer or wizard spell list as an action by spending a spell slot of equal value to the spell and sorcery points equal to the amount needed to create a spell slot of the spell's level. This spell does not need to be in your spells known or Investment in Knowledge spell list. You must be able to provide all the necessary components for the spell. You cannot ritual cast using this feature, however, you can still cast spells with a ritual component as normal.
