Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Tenants of Oath of Reaping

Death is Part of Life: When facing a foe you fight to the death and grant your opponent a quick death. You do not fear your inevitable end but look forward to it. All you ask is for a quick death and you grant those who meet your blade the same.

Commander of the Dead: You know that the dead are a valuable resource and use them to your advantage. If you or an ally can’t control an undead than it is to great a risk to leave it.

Live Life: Knowing that everyone will eventually meet their end you have decided to live life to the fullest when not in combat.

Channel Divinity

An oath of reaping paladin of 3rd level or higher gains the following two Channel Divinity options.

Control Undead. As an action, the paladin targets one undead creature he or she can see within 30 feet of him or her. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target must obey the paladin’s commands for the next 24 hours, or until the paladin uses this Channel Divinity option again. An undead whose challenge rating is equal to or greater than the paladin’s level is immune to this effect.

Reaping Blade. As a bonus action, the paladin channels necrotic energy and focuses them into his or her melee weapon. For the next minute the paladin’s melee weapon attacks deal necrotic damage instead of bludgeoning, slashing or piercing damage. Any creature damaged by the weapon cannot heal until the start of the paladin’s next turn.

Aura of Death

Starting at 7th level, the paladin emits an aura of death. Creatures, of the paladin’s choice, within the aura lose resistance to necrotic damage.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet and Creatures, the paladin chooses, lose resistance to necrotic damage and gain vulnerability to it instead. This ability has no effect on creatures immune to necrotic damage.

Death Knell

At 15th level, the paladin rejuvenates himself or herself when slaying an enemy. Whenever an enemy is slain by the paladin’s melee weapon attack, the paladin heals himself or herself an amount equal to your paladin level.

Visage of Death

At 20th level, the paladin can, as an action, transform into a living embodiment of death. For the next minute the paladin gains the following benefits.

• Immunity to necrotic damage.

• Hostile undead within 30 feet of the paladin must make a Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. The undead can repeat its saving throw at the end of its turn.

• When rolling necrotic damage you can reroll a number of dice equal to your Charisma modifier. This feature can only be used once a turn.

The paladin must take a long rest before being able to activate this ability again.
