Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

There are few who are brave enough to stand against the eldritch horrors that threaten our world from beyond our comprehension. There are fewer even who would willing wade through the mire of such evils and willfully strike back with reckless abandon. The Eldritch Hunter is a ranger that has stepped beyond the world of natural threats and uncovered one of horrific dangers so vast that they are barely the same person when they return. Be relentless in your pursuit of such horrors, let none escape, and by all means... be the one to stand over their lifeless forms.

This ranger subclass is meant to be played with the Revised Ranger.

Abhorrent Lore

Starting at the 3rd level, your study of the vile and wretched has allowed you to adopt some of their unnatural boons. You learn an Eldritch Invocation from the warlock class. You must meet all of the prerequisites in order to select an invocation. Whenever you gain a level in this class, you may replace the invocation you know with another one.

Grim Pursuit

At 3rd level, your ferocity towards your enemies prevents them from escaping you unscathed. Whenever a creature provokes an opportunity attack from you and you miss the attack, you may move 5 ft. towards the creature and make another attack as part of the same reaction. If the creature is one of your Favored Enemies, you make this second attack with advantage.

They're Out There

At 3rd level, you cannot rest easy knowing that your enemies are out there. You cannot be surprised by a creature that is your Favored Enemy. Additionally, if you are sleeping by nonmagical means, and a creature that is your Favored Enemy is within 30 ft. of you, you automatically wake up.

Prey Upon

At 7th level, you are relentless in your efforts to lay your enemies low. Once per turn, whenever you deal damage with a weapon attack, you may deal an additional 1d10 of the weapons damage type. If the creature is your Favored Enemy, the additional damage increases to 2d10. You may deal this additional damage a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) per long rest.

Wicked Tenacity

At 11th level, you are able to brace yourself against the most staggering of blows. Whenever you get hit by a critical hit, you can use your reaction to turn the hit into a normal hit and then reduce the damage by an amount equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). If the critical hit was made by your Favored Enemy, you can make one weapon attack against them as part of the same reaction.

Bring Them Low

At the 15th level, you can unleash devastating attacks on your pitiful enemies. Whenever you score a critical hit, you roll two additional weapon damage dice to determine the extra damage. If the critical hit was scored on your Favored Enemy, roll three additional weapon damage dice instead.
