Monk
Base Class: Monk

As a Monk of the Way of the Fire Snake, you are extremely passionate, and your ki reflects it, taking on fiery properties. Fire Snake monks use their passion and ki to fuel their unarmed strikes, ravaging opposing forces with their flaming fists.

Fangs of the Fire Snake

Starting when you take this tradition at 3rd level, you can harness your fiery Ki to empower your unarmed attacks. When you use your attack action on your turn, tendrils of flame stretch out from your fists and feet. Your reach with your unarmed strikes increases by 5 feet for that action, as well as the rest of the turn. A hit with such an attack deals fire damage instead of bludgeoning damage, and if you spend 1 ki point when the attack hits, it also deals an extra 1d10 fire damage. When you reach 6th, 11th, and 17th level in this class, your reach with your unarmed strikes increases by another 5 feet.

Sweeping Flames

Beginning at level 6, you can manipulate your ki in order to hit many foes at once. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to hit another creature with the same attack. Choose another creature within 5 feet of the original attack and within your reach. If the original attack roll would hit the second creature, it takes damage equal to that of the first creature. The damage is of the same type dealt by the original attack.

Extra Attack

Beginning at 11th level, you can attack thrice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Breath of the Fire Snake

By 17th level, you have mastered how to attack with your fiery ki, and can now unleash massive amounts of ki at once. You can spend 2 ki points to cast burning hands, using your martial arts die instead of d6’s. Its level increases by 1 for each additional ki point you spend. This action counts as a Monk Weapon Attack for the sake of your Martial Arts feature and Flurry of Blows.
