Base Class: Fighter
Fighters training to become an Augmented Bruiser look to Artificers and highly trained engineers to become not just a Fighter, but something that is much more machine than man. These Fghters have are typically smarter, faster and stronger than some of their counterparts, but lack some of the finesse in combat.
Superior Limbs
At 3rd level, you have learn to augment your limbs to enhance them in combat. When you gain this ability, choose 1 augmentation from the list below. You may choose an additional augment at 7th, 14th and 18th level.
Enhanced Eye
One, or both of your eyes become enhanced with magic and clockwork. You gain advantage on Wisdom(Perception) checks that rely on sight. You also gain Darkvision if you do not already have it. If you already have Darkvision, increase it's range by 60 feet.
Hidden Blade
You hide a blade in your wrist that can be brought out with a bonus action. This blade is small and deals 1d4 piercing damage. When you attack a with advantage with this weapon, deal an extra 1d4 piercing damage. This bonus increases to 2d4 at 10th level, 3d4 at 14th level, and 4d4 at 18th level.
Mechanized Arm
You enhance your arm with clockwork and metal fibers to increase it's combat potential. You gain a +1 to attack and damage rolls with both unarmed and weapon attacks.
Piston Legs
You enhance your legs with pistons and metal fibers to gain increased speed. Your movement speed increases by 10ft and you double your jump distance
Piston Punch (Requires Mechanized Arm)
You attach pistons and metal servos to your wrist to allow you to attack with great speed. You may use your bonus action to attack 3 times with your unarmed attack. Once you use this, you must complete a short or long rest to use it again.
Plated Skin
You have put a thin layer of metal underneath your skin around vital areas of your body. You gain a +1 AC.
Pouch of Plenty
You turn a portion of your body into a small interdimensional holding area. The opening to this is can be any size that would fit on your body, however this opening must not go over any vital organs. It applies no additional weight to your carrying capacity, and can hold up to 50lbs of items.
Steam Feet (Requires Piston Legs)
You attach a steam powered jet to the bottom of your feet. You now have a flying speed of 30 ft. and can hover
Voice Box
You gain the ability to mimic any voice that you have heard. You also gain advantage on Charisma(Deception) checks.
Tools of the Worker
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Tinker's Tools. If you already have this, double your proficiency with them
Enhanced Intellect
At 7th level, your work with upgrading your body has increased your mental abilities. Gain proficiency in two skills of your choice and learn one language of your choice. In addition, you may add your Intelligence modifier to a roll a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier per long rest
Artificer's Wit
At 10th level, your enhanced body has started to yield unexpected benefits. You may now create magical objects as if you were a spellcaster. In addition, you can attune to up to 4 items at once, and you may imbue clockwork, or mechanical objects with small magical properties. These include, but are not limited to, emitting a bright light up to 30ft, being able to cast cantrips that you know, or giving increased movement to the user. The DM can allow whatever they wish
Perfect Body
At 15th level, you have augmented your body enough to become more machine than man. You no longer need to eat, sleep, drink or breathe, you can no longer be poisoned or affected by disease, you are immune to poison damage and gain advantage on Constitution Saving Throws
Ultimate Machine
At 18th level, you master the art of augmenting yourself and can go into a machine form as an action, for 1 minute. While in this transformation you gain the following benefits
- You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage, and psychic damage
- You can move double your movement speed
- Your attacks use both your Strength or Dexterity modifier, and your Intelligence modifier
Once you use this ability, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again
Machine Form
While in this transformation you gain the following benefits:
- You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage, and psychic damage
- You can move double your movement speed
- Your attacks use both your Strength or Dexterity modifier, and your Intelligence modifier
Once you use this ability, you must complete a long rest before you can use it again
Normal Form
You are in your normal form. Switch to Machine Form to change the abilities on your sheet
