Base Class: Monk
Those monks who choose to follow the Way of the Roaring Palm emulate some of the fiercest and most mythic creatures to walk the planes: the big cats. Whether channeling the explosive speed of a cheetah, the majesty of the lion, or the predatory stealth of a leopard, they effortlessly tear through their foes with clawed strikes and blinding agility. They tap into the most primal aspects granted by their ki to blur the line between animal and warrior.
Roaring Palm Technique
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can channel the ferocity of a rushing tiger into your strikes. Whenever you move fifteen feet toward a Large or smaller creature and hit with an unarmed strike or monk weapon, you can choose to have the creature make a Strength saving throw. On a fail, the creature falls prone. As a reaction when the creature falls prone, you can make one unarmed strike or expend 1 ki point to use Flurry of Blows.
Beast Tongue
When you take this path at 3rd level, your intimate knowledge of the primal aspect of ki has unlocked the secrets of communicating to animals, but you lack the ability to understand if they communicate back to you. Animals can understand your spoken language, giving you proficiency in Animal Handling. You also have advantage in Charisma checks made to persuade, deceive, perform, or intimidate beasts.
Lick Your Wounds
At 6th level, you gain the ability to heal yourself. As an action, you can regain hit points equal to three times your monk level. You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Tongue Bath
Beginning at 11th level, you learn that cleanliness is the precursor to deadliness. If you spend an entire short rest cleaning or bathing yourself, you gain the benefits of the Freedom of Movement spell for the four hours following the short rest. Additionally, you gain advantage on Stealth (Dexterity) checks against creatures that rely on scent as a means of perception.
Savage Claw
At 17th level, you gain the ability to channel your primal ki into a savage and deadly blow. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 3 ki points to deliver the powerful strike. When you use this action, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. If it fails, it is reduced to 0 hit points. If it succeeds, it takes 10d10 slashing or piercing damage.
