Bard
Base Class: Bard

Have you ever just wanted your bard to be the funkiest guy/gal in town, how about winning fights without murders but through dance offs, well with this subclass all of that and more is possible. In fact if you dont keep your funk in check, you might just drive yourself and everyone around crazy in love with you.

With this bard class, many of your combat abilities will be directly tied to some of your lesser used skills that make bards... well bards, such as your performance skills, persuasion skills and acrobatics skills to name just a few. You will also get some some interesting party buffing options as they get inspired by your funky beats and funkier moves. This class is being made specifically for fun and I hope anyone using this template does just that, have fun with it, it may not be the most broken and powerful class you could choose from, but who could say no to those funky dance moves.

This subclass was heavily inspired by the Ra Ra RasPutin (Funk overload) song and animation which if you haven't listened to or watched, which I highly recommend you do, you can find it here: (I cant put the link in but just look up Ra Ra RasPutin animation)

Bonus proficiencies

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with singing and dancing (Why are these not options in the base game?!) and can add an extra proficiency bonus when making performance checks using one or both of these. Additionally, you gain proficiency in Performance. If you are already proficient in this skill you may choose another skill proficiency from among those bards can choose at 1st level.

Funk

Starting at 3rd level, You realize you have always just been that little bit more funkier than others around you, when you walk into a room you don't walk, you saunter, you slide, you moonwalk and you always have the eyes of everyone in the room on you and that is what you feed off, you are funky and you know it. When you or an ally make a charisma based check or save, you can make a performance check to dance funky and inspire them. Make a performance check and if you get over 20 the amount over 20 is added to the check/save, this can be done after the check/save roll has been made but before the result is known. You can use this feature a number of times a day equal to your charisma modifier and uses are reset after a long rest. At higher levels this feature improves, At 6th level the performance check if any number over 18 instead of 20, At 9th level this number becomes 15 and can be used for this characters attacks/defends as well as checks/saves, At 14th level this feature can be used for allies attacks/defends and spell saves, At 20th level the number becomes 10 and the character can use this feature double their charisma modifier per day.

Dance off

At 6th level, you have mastered the art of getting others attention and can now use your action in combat to demand a dance off with as many enemies as you can see (You can choose how many to include, it doesn't have to be all of them), they cannot decline this dance off and each enemy you chose must make a performance check. All of the enemies performance rolls will be added together and compared to your performance roll, you can ask 1 or two other allies to assist you as backing dancers, they make performance checks with disadvantage and add their scores to yours but will also be subjected to negative effects if you lose, and whoever had the highest result gets the benefits while the loser gets the negative effect, you can make this performance check with adv if the enemies you are dancing against have not been attacked yet. The benefits to winning are that you feel empowered and gain adv on attack roles against the people you danced off against (for both players and enemies) and the negatives are you feel ashamed and have disadvantage against the people you danced against (for both players and enemies).

Rasputin's secret move - funk overload

At 14th level, you can go further beyond your limits and learn a forbidden technique that was only know by one man in all of history. You can set your funk to overdrive, make a performance check with advantage divide the result by ten, round up to the nearest whole number then times by two, for that many turns you can do anything that requires an action, for a bonus action instead and can attack multiple enemies as long as you could get to them using your movement. Moving out of combat with enemies while in funk overload does not trigger attack of opportunities. After the funk overload finishes take 2 points of exhaustion and you lose your next turn as you need a sit down. You can only use this feature once per long rest.
