Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Instead of swearing an oath to a deity or cause, your paladin has sworn its service to an Archfey, the Feywild itself, one of the fey courts, or perhaps a set of people within the feywild. This subclass is focused on tricks, being able to pull an ace from your sleeve and quickly turn the battle in your favor, and shielding yourself from the tricks of others. 

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level you get the following two channel divinity options:

 

  • Season’s Fury: 
    • You use your Channel Divinity to invoke the power of the Fey courts. As an action, you can create one of the following effects.:
      • Summer’s Wrath: As an action, you can choose a point within 30ft of you to create a totem of summer. The totem creates an aura with a radius of 10ft centered on it that lasts for 1 minute. The totem shines a bright light in this radius. When allies have advantage on any attack made on an enemy within the light and any invisible creature or items that enter the light are revealed. 
      • Autumn’s Scorn: As an action, you can choose a point within 30ft of you to create a totem of Autumn. The totem creates an aura with a radius of 10ft centered on it that lasts for 1 minute. The totem emits a fog that lightly obscures the area. Any creature the enters the radius for the first time on their turn or starts their turn in the radius must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a fail, the target rolls a d8.  It has to use its move action to move in that direction no matter what.  If it is impeded, it stops.  This movement does provoke Attacks of Opportunity but it can attack its turn as normal, before or after the forced move. 
      • Winter’s Sting: As an action, you can choose a point within 30ft of you to create a totem of Winter. The totem creates an aura with a radius of 10ft centered on it that lasts for 1 minute. The area within the radius is considered difficult terrain for enemies.
      • Spring’s Embrace: As an action, you can choose a point within 30ft of you to create a totem of spring. The totem creates an aura with a radius of 10ft centered on it that lasts for 1 minute. The scent of sweet flowers fills the area. Any enemy that enters the area for the first time on their turn or starts their turn in the radius must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a fail, the target is charmed by you. An affected target may re-roll the saving throw at the end of their turns. 

 

 

  • Wings of the Fey:

 

      • You Channel Divinity to manifest insect-like wings on your back, such as butterfly or dragonfly wings. These wings can be either physical or spectral, no matter the manifestation they can be disabled just as the wings of another creature could. This effect lasts for 1 minute.

Aura of the Courts

Beginning at 7th level you and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you gain an advantage on saving throws against being charmed and frightened. If you succeed in a saving throw against a charm effect under this aura, you can use your reaction to reflect the spell or ability back at the user. This aura increases to 30 feet at the 18th level

Trickster’s Demise

Starting at the 15th level you have advantage on all Wisdom (insight) checks to discern if someone is lying, as well as advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks to discern illusions.

Champion of the Courts

 

At 20th Level, you can use an action to channel your connection to the wild magic of the Fae,  you become divinely beautiful, emitting a small amount of obscuring mist and surrounding yourself with Sylvan whispers. For a number of turns equal to your Charisma modifier, you gain the following benefits. After using this feature, you cannot use it again until you take a long rest.

  • As an action, you can choose a target creature within 30ft of you. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a fail, the target is effect by the dominate person spell or dominate monster spell depending on the target’s creature type. You may only have one creature dominated like this at a time. 
  • As a bonus action, you may teleport up to 30 feet from your current position into an unoccupied space you can see.
  • All hostile creatures within 30 feet of you are under the effects of the bane spell.
  • You and all friendly creatures within 30 feet of you are under the effects of the bless spell.
