Base Class: Bard
Bards tell stories of the past, but all bards realize that stories are constantly being created all around them. Bards of the College of Foresight take this truly to heart, even more so than other bards, and use their knowledge of the past to predict the future even before it happens, often with surprising accuracy. In combat, these bards analyze the moves of their opponents and use that knowledge to guess what they are about to do before they do it, allowing them to dodge blows before they are made, avoid danger before it reaches them, and hit targets even as they try to dodge out of the way. These abilities cause them to be revered by some, with many even seeing them as mystics of sorts, but those of this college make the true source of their abilities known wherever they go, even if this is not always believed by their adoring fans. They stress the importance of the past and repeating patterns, and how they influence the future, but they recognise that their predictions will not always be true, and how not every outcome can be known before it happens. The past might repeat, but there is always going to be some differences, some far bigger than others.
Know the Past to Predict the Future
In order to predict what happens next, you must know what has happened before. You gain proficiency in the history skill if you don't already have it. If you already have proficiency in this skill, you can gain proficiency in another skill that uses intelligence instead.
(Note: Unless you already have history proficiency, do not select any skill other than history to gain proficiency in. Additionally, when picking a different proficiency, only pick an intelligence skill. DDB is ****y with how skill prof choices work.)
Predict What Comes Next
Your knowledge of the past allows you insight into the potential next moves of your foes. Whenever a creature makes an attack roll against you, or whenever you make an attack roll or saving throw, you can use your reaction and expend a use of bardic inspiration, rolling your bardic inspiration die and adding or subtracting the result from the roll, your choice. You can choose to use this ability after the die is rolled, but before it's result is determined.
Predictive Defense
Your predictions about the world around you grow better, and, when correct, allow you to avoid danger that others can not. When you are subjected to a dexterity saving throw that lets you take half damage on a successful saving throw, you instead take no damage if you succeed.
Honed Predictions
Your predictions have become incredibly accurate. When you use your "Predict What Comes Next ability" to add or subtract from a roll, you can cause that roll to be made at either advantage or disadvantage as well, your choice.
