Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Your ancestors were fierce and proud warriors that battled for their entire lives. They were proud of their family name and the honor they could bring to it, and you have learned how to harness their powers and rage from beyond. By binding yourself to the mortal plane with your shadow, you bring back their power and rage as well as your own to destroy all of your enemies. However, the price for the power is coming as close to the land of the dead as possible, and you will either die or become dead trying.

Ancestor's Protection

When you are raging your shadow fuses with your body, giving you the power of your ghostly ancestors. You become dark and incorporeal until the end of your rage. As a reaction you can choose to take half damage from any attack, up to half your barbarian level rounded down times per rage.

Ancient Rage

At 3rd level, as you become closer to death your ancestors will push back, helping the vessel they are using stay strong. If you are enraged and below half health your attacks deal an additional 1d6 + you barbarian level rounded down in necrotic damage. You gain the damage dealt as temporary health.

Shadow Form

At 6th level, as you sink closer into the realm of the dead, your shadow grows stronger to try and pull you back. While below half health you gain  half of your barbarian level rounded down to your armor class.

Ghost Strike

At 10th level, your ancestors channel their rage through you as their vessel and attack with you. Whenever you are enraged if you land an attack with an action, bonus action, or reaction, you can follow it up with an additional attack of the same type once. As your ancestors get closer to the mortal plane they lash out more. While under half health, you get a second attack even if you miss.

Master of the Shadow's Rage

At 14th level, the fusion of yourself, your shadow, and your ancestors all become one. While you’re raging, having 0 hit points doesn’t knock you unconscious . You still must make death saving throws, and you suffer the normal effects of taking damage while at 0 hit points. However, if you would die due to failing death saving throws, you don’t die until your rage ends, and you die then only if you still have 0 hit points.
