Base Class: Warlock
The character has been chosen by “The system” and becomes a game-like avatar. Wherever the character goes, the reaper will follow. The player’s path will be littered with corpses, and the smell of blood. Your desire for strength burns strong enough to call those who wander the valley of death, and the dead who follow your commands shall create a path where your thread will be law and you would never need another’s help again. As well as obtaining a resilient body, the character has gained the power of a shadowmancer.
The Great Kandiaru’s Blessing
The Great Spellcaster Kandiaru has gifted you with improved resilience. The effect of longevity has been granted allowing your body to quickly remove harmful substances. You are now resistant to poison attacks and you are immune to the poisoned status effect.
Shadow Lord
Shadow Extraction - a shadow soldier is created from a lifeless body by taking out it’s soul. The chance of failure increases the higher the target’s stats are, and the more time that has passed since the target’s death. Fiends, constructs and undead cannot be extracted, furthermore, shadows can only be extracted from the point of the corpse’s death, if the body is moved, it would have to be returned to the point of death before extraction can be attempted. Whenever extraction is attempted, the player rolls a dc check of 1d20+their spell modifier against 10+CR of the monster. The player has 2 chances of extraction per corpse before the soul dissipates and cannot be extracted again. Should the player attempt to extract the shadow of a monster with CR higher than half the player’s level + 2, the extraction automatically fails twice, expending a charge for each fail. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your CHA modifier per long rest. It takes 1 action to attempt an extraction.
Save Shadow - You absorb created shadow soldiers into your shadow and save them. Saved soldiers can be summoned and reabsorbed whenever the animator desires in an empty space up to 10ft away. Summoning and absorption take 1 action to cast.
Cancel Extraction - As a bonus action, you can permanently dismiss one of your shadow minions.
The maximum number of shadows you can control is 2. The maximum increases by one at 6th, 10th and 14th level, up to a total of 5 shadows.
If a shadow is destroyed, the summon returns to the caster’s shadow and cannot be summoned again until the end of a long rest.
Domain of The Monarch
Your Shadow extends into a 10ft area, giving your soldiers more might. Shadow soldiers fighting in the caster’s domain will deal an extra 1d6 necrotic damage.
This damage increases to 1d8 at level 10 and 1d10 at level 14.
Shadow Exchange
Your mastery over shadows makes it possible for you to exchange locations between the user and the selected shadow soldier. As a bonus action, you can exchange your location with any of the shadow soldiers you can see. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your CHA modifier.
Shadow Army’s Might
The character’s growth has also greatly affected the shadows the caster controls. At level 14, the caster’s shadow army gain resistance to all non-magical attacks.
