Ezmerelda D'Avenir (Subclass)

Use this Bard College to emulate Ezmerelda D'Avenir from Curse of Strahd.

For the best approximation, choose the following character creation options for Ezmerelda:

• Race: Human Variant - Ezmerelda D'Avenir (see my other homebrew creations)
• Lvl 7 Bard
• Override Max HP to 82
• Skill Proficiencies: Deception, Perception, Survival. Do not choose any musical weapon proficiencies
• Bard College: Ezmerelda D'Avenir (see my other homebrew creations)
• Expertise: Deception, Perception
• Ability Score Increase: +2 DEX
• Manual Stat input: 13 STR, 16 DEX, 15 CON, 15 INT, 10 WIS, 16 CHA
• Background: Ezmerelda D'Avenir (see my other homebrew creations)
• Choose a Chaotic Good alignment
• Only select the equipment provided from the background. Don't select any of the bard starting equipment.

As there is currently no way to remove, hide or override base class features, you will have to ignore Bardic Inspiration, Jack of All Trades, Song of Rest, Font of Inspiration and Countercharm.

Jack of all Trades will still show up as a class feature, and any non-proficient skills will show up as half-proficient, but the bonus it provides has been negated by a penalty in the Bard College.

DEX and CHA saving throws will show up as proficient, but the bonus has been negated by an equivalent penalty in the subrace.

Equipment

You will need to manully add her magic weapons, armour and potions:

• +1 Rapier
• +1 Handaxe
• +1 Studded Leather Armour
• 2x Potion of Greater Healing

To turn the provided shortsword into a silvered shortsword, select customize , tick silvered, rename it 'Silvered Shortsword')

 Select the following spells:

• Light
• Mage Hand
• Prestidigitation
• Protection from Evil and Good
• Magic Missile
• Shield
• Darkvision
• Knock
• Invisibility
• Clairvoyance
• Lightning Bolt
• Magic Circle
• Greater Invisibility

Please note Ezmerelda's spellcasting ability is Intelligence not Charisma, so be wary of changes to either stat.

Combat Focus

Applies a -1 penalty to the skills and initiative improved by Jack of All Trades.

Gives Extra Attack & Two-Weapon Fighting Style.

Spell Focus

Expands Ezmerelda's spell list to include the required spells, as well as providing an extra known cantrip and expertise in an extra skill.
