Base Class: Barbarian
Barbarians who walk the Path of the Shield Maiden channel their rage from their desire to keep close friends safe from danger. They would take an arrow or a fireball if it meant protecting those they care for.
Interpose
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, while raging and wielding a shield, you can use a reaction to give an ally within 5ft an AC boost equal to the AC boost of your shield.
At 10th Level, this AC boost is raised to the Shield bonus + your Con Modifier
Guardian Stance
Beginning at 6th level, while raging, as a bonus action you can take a defensive stance next to an ally. While in a defensive stance, you can force a number of incoming attacks equal to your Dex modifier (minimum 1) on your ally to target you instead.
Once you take a defensive stance, you can't take another until after 2 turns of combat.
Mage Guard
Beginning at 10th level, you have learned that mages can be quite tricky to deal with. As a result, you can add your shield's AC bonus to any incoming Dex, Str, or Con saving throw as you interpose your shield between yourself and the spell effect.
In addition, while raging, you gain resistance to acid, cold, fire, force, lightning, necrotic, poison, radiant, and thunder damage.
Shield Bash
Starting at 14th level, while raging, if you make two attacks as your action, you can make an improvised weapon attack with your shield and either knock the target prone or push the target back a number of feet equal to 1/4 your Strength ability score.
You are proficient with this special attack.
The damage is 1d6+Str+Shield's AC bonus.
Juggernaut
At 14th Level, while wielding a shield, you can use a reaction to add your Con mod to your AC until the end of your next turn. You can do this a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus
All uses of this ability recharge on a Long Rest
