Base Class: Fighter
"You've crossed the wrong person."
-Carnelius Blackstone, Vengeance Knight
Vengeance Knight's are mercenaries that ruthlessly roam the land in search of those who have crossed them or their employers. Once they find them, the quarry dies, end of story. Vengeance Knight's are so notorious for their efficient and ruthless killing that many will pay a high price to hire them, and they are also nicknamed: "Revenants". Vengeance Knight's specialize in using their burning hatred to power their martial prowess, sometimes to the point of literally creating fire itself. They cannot be stopped, once they have their eyes set on you, you best be able to run for a long time.
BECOMING A VENGEANCE KNIGHT
Vengeance Knights are quite rare, but usually come from some sort of vendetta or debt they must complete. They all however, share the same anger management issues, and are seen very similarly to a barbarian in interaction (not ability wise). The Vengeance Knight is best multiclassed with Barbarian (Rage and Reckless attack are sweeeet), or Paladin (Divine Smite can also be seen as something from your burning hatred, plus, Oath of Vengeance!). The largest aspect of the Vengeance Knight, is it's martial prowess, and ability to isolate enemies. The key ability scores for the Vengeance Knight are Strength (for martial power), Constitution (for living long enough), and Charisma (for intimidating your foes).
PLAYING A VENGEANCE KNIGHT
Vengeance Knight's are perfect mercenaries and bounty hunters (so long as it's wanted dead or alive), but not much else. They have been specially trained to funnel their hatred into a single person, but it makes it very difficult for a Vengeance Knight to be comfortable in social situations. Vengeance Knights also tend to be very paranoid, and tend to become spontaneously angry.
Combat: Vengeance Knight's are perfect for one-on-one duels against those they have sworn vengeance on, but will quickly get overwhelmed if they are surrounded by multiple foes. That being said, it is best to play a Vengeance Knight by isolating a single enemy, swearing vengeance on it, and ruthlessly attacking it until it's destroyed, rinse and repeat. Vengeance Knight's in parties are usually there for personal gain, and will use them as bait or distraction for them to decimate their foe.
Lore: Vengeance Knights are very rare, and very notorious. Carnelius Blackstone is an elvish Vengeance Knight and leader of the Fire-Brand Revenants, a group that specializes in tracking down undead and killing them, particularly liches of great notoriety. He is currently on a now 120 year ongoing mission against his archnemesis: The Vile One, a Mind-Flayer Lich with multiple phylacteries as old as the gods.

Swear Vengeance
Swear Vengeance (Lvl 3): You gain the ability to swear vengeance on a creature. Doing so takes a bonus action, and you can only swear vengeance on a single creature at a time. In order to swear vengeance on a creature, you must know it's specific name, or see it within 30 ft of you. Transfering the vengeance requires two bonus actions, one to calm down the hatred of the first creature, and one to ignite the vengeance on another. The vengeance only goes away via this way or if the creature dies. When you have sworn vengeance on a creature, you have advantage on attacks against the creature, as well as Wisdom (Survival/Perception) checks on finding/tracking the creature. If the creature dies by your hand, you can immediately swear vengeance on another creature within 30 ft or with a specific name you know of.
Arcane Rebuke
Arcane Rebuke (Lvl 7): The intense hatred within you lashes out. Whenever a creature forces you to make a saving throw, you can use your reaction to deal 2d6 force damage to that creature. This damage is doubled if the creature is one you have sworn vengeance to.
Counterstrike
Counterstrike (Lvl 10): When you are damaged with a melee attack, you can on your turn power your attack against that creature. The last creature to damage you with a melee attack before your turn, if targeted by a melee attack and hit, is dealt an additional HP lost divided by 2 (HP Max-Current HP *dismiss Temporary HP*/divided by 2) of the same damage of the weapon used.
Unyielding
Unyielding (Lvl 15): You gain advantage on saving throws against magic effects, and conditions such as prone, poisoned, charmed, frightened, paralyzed, petrified, and stunned.
Burning Vengeance
Burning Vengeance (Lvl 18): Once per day, you can empower you weapon attack with burning vengeance. This attack must be directed towards a creature whom you have sworn vengeance on. This attack deals an additional 2d10 fire damage and counts as magical. This attack will also crit on a natural 17-20, and deals 6d10 fire critical damage rather than 4d10 critical fire damage. If this attack kills the creature, it recharges automatically.
