Quill of the Calligrapher
At 1st level as a bonus action, you can magically create a Tiny quill or ink pen in your free hand. The magic quill has the following properties:
- The quill doesn’t require ink. When you write with it, it produces ink in a color of your choice on the writing surface.
- You can erase anything you write with the quill if you wave the feather over the text as a bonus action, provided the text is within 5 feet of you.
- You may have the quill float and write on it’s own while it is within ten feet of you, writing down what you mentally command it to.
- When using this quill, you automatically have proficiency with Calligrapher's Supplies and a Forgery Kit. Your quill can be used as both of these.
- This quill disappears if you create another one or if you die.
Keep in Contact
At 1st level you may write and send a short message of thirty words or less with your Quill of the Calligrapher to a creature with which you are familiar as an action. This message appears before the creature and they are able to read the message no matter what language in which it was written in and it recognizes you as the sender if it knows you, and can answer in a like manner immediately by writing on the reverse side of the page. This ability enables creatures with Intelligence scores of at least 5 to understand the meaning of your message. This message has a 5% chance of being randomly intercepted or simply not arriving to its intended target and being lost. You may use this ability a number of times per short rest equal to your Charisma modifier.
Ledgerman's Skill
At 6th level Whenever you finish a short rest, you can create one magic scroll by tapping your Quill of the Calligrapher to a blank piece of paper or parchment and causing one spell from your Learned Spells or Book of Secrets (if you have one that possesses leveled spells.) to be copied onto the scroll.
The chosen spell must be of 1st or 2nd level and must have a casting time of 1 action or bonus action. Once in the scroll, the spell’s power is enhanced, counting as one level higher than normal. You or a creature you give it to can cast the spell from the scroll by reading it as an action. The scroll is unintelligible to anyone else, and the spell vanishes from the scroll when it is cast or when you create another.
You are also adept at crafting spell scrolls, which are described in chapter 7 of the Dungeon Master’s Guide. The gold and time you must spend to make such a scroll are halved if you use your Quill of the Calligrapher.
Contractual Obligation
At level 10, Your tongue becomes gilded in the precious metals of your work, your words dipped in the golden ink of your patron's own contracts. Whenever you make a Deal or Contract this feature takes effect and the other party is unknowingly and magically bound to the exact words exchanged. Both parties must have officially agreed to the deal in some way, such as a handshake or contract. This feature occurs automatically and it is up to the DM whether or not the parameters of a deal are applicable to this feature, and how powerful this feature may be (i.e. able to potentially cause mutilation/death, or be more benign).
Vault of Gold and Whispers
At 14th level, you may also now cast the spell Magnificent Mansion once per short rest without expending a spell slot. The spell does not end with you inside of it unless you will it to. Other creatures you do not designate may not access the space created by this ability unless you or your patron explicitly allows them to and cannot be destroyed in any way. A space created with this ability also appears always possesses both of these rooms:
- A vault in a design of your choice that is always large enough to contain the physical wealth and possessions that you possess.
- A library in a design of your choice containing a copy of every Book, Scroll, Contract, or Document that you’ve ever read or created. Items created in this library and as part of this library are indestructible and cannot be tampered with, but cannot leave the demiplane.
Objects and creatures that remain within this within the Mansion when the spell ends stay within it’s space until you choose for them not to when this spell ends again. If you use this ability or cast this spell again while within the mansion, it’s door appears in the last space it was placed when you previously cast the spell.
