Whether it's your family, your adventuring party, your squad mates, even your hometown, there is always someone you want to protect. They may not understand your frenzy, your bloodlust, but you know it is for their own good. You will slaughter anyone who dares threaten the ones you love, and you will fight until your dying breath to ensure their survival. 

Sworn Protector

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you create a bond with those close to you, vowing to protect them at any cost. At the end of a long rest, choose creatures up to your Constitution modifier (Minimum 1) as Devotees. Any feature that affects a Devotee will apply to these creatures. 

While you can see a Devotee, you gain the following benefits:

• You have advantage on Intimidation checks against creatures acting hostile towards the Devotee.
• If a Devotee falls unconscious, you gain temporary hit points equal to your Barbarian level.
• If a creature attacks a Devotee, you have advantage against that creature until the end of your next turn.

At Any Cost

You will willingly put yourself in harm's way to protect those you love. At 6th level, as a reaction when a Devotee within 5 feet of you takes damage from an attack, you can take that damage instead.

Against All Odds

Inferior numbers mean nothing to you. They threatened your comrades, and in doing so have signed their own death warrants. Starting at 10th level, you gain AC equal to your Constitution modifier (Minimum 1) while there are more enemies than you have allies.

Nothing More to Lose

Starting at 14th level, when a Devotee falls unconscious, you let out a cry of anguish, tearing into your foes in the hopes that your fury will inspire them to keep breathing. For the duration that a Devotee is unconscious, you can add your Constitution modifier (minimum 1) to your damage rolls. This bonus is doubled against the creature that landed the final blow against the devotee.
