Monk
Base Class: Monk

The desert is an extremely inhospitable place.  There are dangers a plenty from monsters to sand storms to the very heat itself.  One branch of monks feel that these conditions are ideal for training one’s mind and body.  These monks become deadly instruments of the desert and learn to live in it with virtually nothing at all.  To all in the surrounding towns and cities these monks are called, Sand Serpents.

Desert Bred

Starting at 3rd level you ignore heat and don’t need to eat or drink.  In addition you gain proficiency when making stealth checks while in desert areas.

Desert Awareness

The desert is a dangerous place, and it can be deadly if you let your guard down, creatures prey on the unaware.  Starting at 3rd level you no longer need to sleep.  You also gain proficiency on perception checks, if you already have proficiency in perception than you gain expertise in it.

Serpent’s Scales

Starting at 6th level you add your proficiency bonus to your armor class when unarmored and not wielding a shield.  This bonus counts as a natural armor bonus as you grow pale yellow scales.

Serpent’s Venom

Starting at 11th level your unarmed attacks deal an additional 2d6 poison damage.

Sand Form

Starting at 17th level you turn yourself and your equipment into sand.  As an action, you can enter a Sand Form for 1 minute.  When hit by an attack or a spell there is a 50% miss chance as your Sand Form allows the attack or spell to pass right through you.  This ability resets on a short rest.  Alternatively you can spend 5 ki points to activate it an additional time before your short rest.
