Base Class: Rogue
You sneak through shadows and darkness as if it were second nature, fighting against the creatures that hide in the darkness alongside you, or using the power of darkness to your advantage to confound those in the light.
Stab in the Dark
Starting at 3rd level, you are deadliest when your enemies cannot see you. While you are in dim-light or darkness you make attack rolls with advantage, and you may gain your sneak attack if dim-light or darkness is within 30 feet of you.
One With the Shadows
At 3rd level, your time spent in darkness has gotten you used to all forms of shade and the ability to see through it. You gain darkvision out to a range of 120 feet, this vision works on magical or non-magical darkness.
Friend of the Darkness
Starting at 9th level, you have spent enough time in darkness that it seems to follow you and helps when you need it. You may cast darkness as a bonus action a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier. You regain the all the uses of this feature after a long rest.
Additionally, you gain a shadow spirit as a companion, this companion takes the form of a bat, rat, owl, cat, or spider. This companion uses all the same rules as a summoned creature from the find familiar spell.
Bump in the Night
At 13th level, you have perfected your stealth while in the dark. You have advantage on stealth, and sleight of hand checks while within 30 feet of dim-light or darkness. Also as a reaction you can cause one enemy to fail a perception check to spot you or an ally as long as the enemy and the creature you are attempting to conceal are in darkness. You can use this feature once per short or long rest.
Boogeyman
Starting at 17th level, you have harnessed the full capabilities of the night. As an action, you may select any point within your darkvision range, this point swells into a 30ft sphere of pitch black darkness (counted as magical darkness), any creature that you choose caught within this range must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your Dexterity Modifier + your proficiency bonus) or take psychic damage equal to your sneak attack, the sphere of darkness lasts for 1 minute or until ended early (no action). You regain the ability to use this after a long rest.
