Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who have been chosen by the Way of the Anointed Barrow serve as vigilants within the unearthly halls of the dead. They see the dead as misplaced souls with cadavers too weak to continue telling their forgotten tales. As a follower of this Monistic Tradition, you must decide your calling to the departed souls and how your time spent in the aisles of such burial chambers has changed you.

Divine Disciple

You’ve been selected as a divine disciple. You choose to gain proficiency in either the Medicine or the Religion skill, and you learn the spare the dying and toll the dead cantrips.

Vigilant of the Departed

You are all too familiar with the arrangement of underground catacombs, burial chambers, or other subterranean structures intended to house the departed. You can perfectly recall any path you have traveled through these chambers and can’t become lost within them except by magical means. In addition, you gain darkvision out to a range of 60 feet. If you already have darkvision from your race, its range increases by 30 feet.

Mausoleum of Whispering Souls

Your connection to the barrow has imparted you with the power to commune with the undead. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points to cast speak with dead or summon undead, without providing material components.

Blessed Strikes

You are blessed with divine might in battle. When a creature takes damage from one of your cantrips, unarmed strikes, or a monk weapon, you can also deal radiant damage to that creature equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die + your Wisdom modifier. You can use this feature only once per turn.

Rite of salvation

As an action, you can touch the corpse of a creature that died within the past 10 days and expend 5 ki points, imploring the misplaced soul to return to its mortal vessel. If the soul accepts, the creature then returns with 1 hit point as a Hollow One, possessing no recollection as to how they died or who they were in their previous life. If the misplaced soul accepts, you can't use this feature again for 7 days.
