Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the way of the totem spirit learn to channel the essence of animals to enhance their own abilities.

Animal Spirits

At 3rd level, your mastery of Ki allows you to summon the spiritual essence of animals. On your turn, you spend 3 Ki points as an action to summon your totem animal. You may only channel one totem at a time. You may dismiss your summoned totem at any time, without requiring an action. This effect also ends if you are Incapacitated or Unconscious. At 3rd level, you choose one type of animal, listed below. You may choose one additional animal at 6th, 11th, and 17th level. Optionally, you can choose the same animal again. If you do this, a totem's Ki cost goes down by 1 each time you choose it. If you reduce a totem's Ki cost to 0, (choosing the same totem all the way to 17th level) you do not have to spend the Ki cost and can summon it as a bonus action.
