Base Class: Monk
Monks who practice this tradition utilize powerful meditations and spiritual practice to master their minds, and so free themselves from suffering. These monks might commonly be seen about their monasteries--often on high mountaintops or in the deepest reaches of a desert--walking all but naked through deep snows or burning sands, subjecting their bodies to what must seem excruciating torments. But masters of this tradition realize that torment itself is a product of the mind, and the body only follows where the mind leads. And by this realization and the practices which bring it about, one may achieve the extraordinary.
Meditation of Insulation
You have cultivated meditations which may render the arctic gale a mere spring breeze, the raging inferno merely a warm summer sun. Starting when you choose this tradition at 3 level, during a long rest, you may enter a meditative state which lasts for one hour. Choose either fire or cold; you are resistant to that type of damage until your next long rest.

The Illusion of Pain
When you reach 6 level, your body and senses have become instruments tamed by your mind, subject to your will and calm attention. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to spend 1 ki point to reduce that damage by an amount equal to your monk level.
As well, when unable to breathe, the number of minutes you can last before suffocating doubles.
Unshakeable
By 11 level, you have mastered your base impulses, and can enter a meditative state rendering you utterly immune to them. You can use your bonus action to expend 6 ki points. For 1 minute, you cannot be charmed, frightened, or directly moved against your will by another creature. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter this state, you have advantage on the saving throw to end this condition on yourself.
Heart of Fire, Heart of Ice
You have utterly freed yourself from the power the elements once held over you, and can extend this liberation to your surroundings. At 17 level, you can choose either cold or fire; you are immune to this type of damage.
Additionally, you can use your bonus action to expend 10 ki points. For 1 minute, all fire or cold damage within a 60-foot radius sphere about you is negated.
