Base Class: Warlock
You are the host for a wraith. This could take the form of a possession or a mutual agreement for survival. One way or another you are bound to each other and that bond is your lifeline. Wraith patrons may not be as powerful as other beings who make deals with mortals, but the stakes are much higher. When entering such covenants, their survival is dependent on your survival and they will fight by your side to keep you alive.
Expanded Spell List
The Wraith lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Old Knowledge
At 1st level, your patron shares some of their past knowledge with you. You gain proficiency in a Simple Weapon, Martial Weapon, Tool, or Medium Armor and one skill.
Dark Manifestation
Starting at 1st level, you can use a bonus action to magically manifest a projection of your patron in your space or an unoccupied space you can see within 15 feet of you. This projection of your patron lasts until it is destroyed, until you dismiss it as a bonus action, until you manifest another projection, or until you’re incapacitated.
Your projection has an AC of 10 + your Charisma modifier, 1 hit point, and immunity to all conditions. If it has to make a saving throw, it uses your saving throw bonus for the roll. It is the same size as you, and it occupies its own space or the space you are occupying. On your turn, you can mentally command the projection to move up to 30 feet in any direction including upwards (no action required). If your projection is ever more than 30 feet from you at the end of your turn, it is destroyed.
You can use the projection in the following ways:
- When the projection occupies the same space as you, all attacks against you must go against the projection first.
- When you take the Attack or Cast a Spell action on your turn, any attack or spell you make with that action can originate from your space or the projection’s space. You make this choice for each attack or count of a spell.
- When a creature that you can see within 5 feet of your projection moves at least 5 feet away from it, you can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack against that creature as if you were in the projection’s space.
Form of The Wraith
Starting at 6th level, your patron's form starts to blend with yours. You gain resistance to necrotic damage, your projection can now be up to 60 ft from you at the end of your turn without being destroyed, and you can use your bonus action to teleport to your projection's location.
Dark Rejuvenation
Starting at 10th level, your body flows with dark energy. All necrotic damage you do from spells or other attacks is more potent doing half damage to creatures with immunity to necrotic damage and full damage to creatures with resistance to necrotic damage. Whenever you attack and deal damage from a space occupied by your projection, add an additional 1d8 necrotic damage to one creature affected. You regain half the additional damage rounded down as hit points.
Manifestation of Power
Starting at 14th level, you can heighten your projection's power. Once per round you can take an additional action from your projection's location (including cast a spell).
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Posted Dec 5, 2020Hello all,
This subclass is based on some of the mechanics of the Echo Knight subclass. I've recently been playing "Middle Earth: Shadow of War" and wanted a D&D class that was like Talion and Celebrimbor. The Echo Knight is pretty close, but lacks some of the more magical elements of the duo. Making a Warlock subclass with Echo Knight features seemed the best way to get the best of both worlds while still being balanced. Please let me know if there is anything you think could be improved.
Best,
JackDackk
